      Comments about Ghost 7 GTX:

If you are used to slim lines of the proflow series, these feel like a lot of shoe. But alas, if you need warm dry toes, it is a small price to pay. Wish
there was a flow like shoe made of GORETEX; then agility and warmth would meet.

        Comments about Ghost 7 GTX:

I was really excited about this shoe- the colors, it being a breathable Gortex version of the Ghost sneaker, that I needed to replace. It was such an utter disappointment putting this shoe on as it has the oddest shape and fit. (I have very narrow feet, very high- double arches(inner-outer foot) and a slightly wide ball of my feet/toe area- underpronation.) The Ghost was the first sneaker to fit and support my feet, although, I was unhappy with how quickly they wore down and have waited too long to get a replacement pair, they were/are really great running shoes.

I don't know what on earth happened to this new edition or why they bothered completely remodeling the shoe. It has the widest sides of the shoes as if I purchased an extra-wide sneaker; they actually can be pinched on the sides, they are that ridiculously wide. However, the front (ball of the feet- toe box area) of the shoe goes into a really narrow, almost point- it is really bizarre. I can't give these shoes any better rating, because they aren't just missing that something special, they are a cruddy remodel of a once great shoe.

As for the base of the shoe- they do feel as if they have good cushion and support. The arch is decently supported, and the shoe is taller/higher cushion/base than the previous model. The base of the shoe has good traction and the shoe still feels breathable despite the gortex protection, which would've been rather nice to have.....really, really wanted this show to work.

Bottom line: If your feet are wide with a medium-high arch and you have a narrow toe area- this shoe will be great for you, unless I received a poorly constructed pair. Order a half-size up.

I don't know whether to exchange and try for another pair or not, yet. "/

          Comments about Ghost 7 GTX:

I like to walk outside in snowy weather on streets and plowed sidewalks. I've never found a pair of boots that were comfortable enough for my 2+mile outings. Two separate shoe salespeople at our local mall told me to get online and look into these. Finally! I can stop looking!! The website said I could send them back within 30 days even if I sweat in them. Too bad, Brooks - you can't have them back!!
