Additional Information

Originally born in 1982, the legendary Brooks Chariot was one of the most worn running shoes by runners in the eighties. Our rejuvenated award-winner features many of the same tech qualities pioneered during the decade. A diagonal rollbar for pronation control, molded tri-layer insole for cushioning, solid rubber outsole for shot, reflective hits for visibility – this shoe blew legwarmers out of the water. Crafted from our history yet designed for the modern wom, what’s past is prologue has never been a truer statement.

Please note: The Chariot pays tribute to its original design, but this modern refresh is not a performance running shoe. As everyday kicks, you may wish to choose a half size smaller than your Brooks running shoes.

      Comments about Chariot:

I saw these shoes in a workout wear magazine and fell in love. I run in Brook's and have for many many years so of course I had to order a retro pair! I'm not sure how people ran in these back in the day, but they are definitely a comfortable shoe for general street wear. I would probably wear them to the gym for some light lifting, but nothing more. They look really great with tights or jeans. I brought them with me on a vacation where we did a lot of walking...really comfortable and great looking! I would recomend these shoes to any Brook's fan looking for a new casual atheltic shoe. The color choices and free shipping on the Brooks website made this a win win!

        Comments about Chariot:

I bought these and a pair of New Balance retro sneakers in a similar color (and price) and HANDS down, the Brooks blew the competition in construction, comfort, weight, fit, style and color. I bought these for my twice daily dog walking and trips to/from the gym. They have become my "go to" shoe of choice...often times dressing to compliment the "Mars Red" sneakers I got.

They are light-weight, VERY stylish, and compared to the NB, are sleek and incredibly comfortable. I like that they tongue is not padded and poofy, and the toe box is slightly tapered so that even if you go out on a limb and get something colorful, they won't look like clown shoes. The construction of the shoe is such that you naturally roll forward and despite the lightweight, they absorb impact.

        Totally worth every penny!

            Comments about Chariot:

I loved the look of these shoes. However, following the advice on the website to order smaller than my normal Brooks running shoes, did not work for me. It resulted in shoes that were too small. I suspect if I had ordered my normal Brooks size, they would have been great.

I have lots of problems with my arches. These shoes are the only brand of shoe that I have found to be comfortable. Lightweight and so soothing for my tired feet.
