Comments about Adrenaline ASR 11 GTX:

I am a supporter of Brooks shoes. I have had many models in the past. Before purchasing this shoe I took time to carefully read all of the reviews. With that said, I almost did not buy them. First of all..the heel does slip a little, but if you tie them using all of the lace holes, it remedies this problem. They do fit a little different from the previous models, but not a bad different. I agree with everyone who is frustrated that Brooks completely changes a perfectly good shoe, but this one works too!! I have run on the trail and road in snowy wet conditions, and my feet stayed dry and warm. I am not too upset that they feel slightly bigger because if I wanted to layer my socks, I could. Again it did not affect my running. These are good shoes for being outdoors. They are not indoor shoes!!! They have a good tread on the bottom to keep you from slipping or going over terrain.I like the color and the more I use them, the more I like them. Some people have complained about the shoe tongue being sewn to the shoe and they did not like this. Okay, this is necessary to keep out rain or snow if you are not wearing gaiters. This is not a problem. Also, some have said that because of the tongue being sewn it causes an irritation on top of your foot. Yes it will if you have your shoes tied way too tight...!! I wanted to address the "noise or squishing" that some commented on..Yes, they make a slight squishing noise, but Hello!! They are Gore-tex shoes not meant as an indoor working or running shoe!! Put your music on and you will never even notice it!! I hope this helps others considering this shoe...Run Happy!!! :)

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 11 GTX:

I wear these regularly whenever there's rain in the forecast. They offer great protection from the elements, and I haven't noticed any of the sizing issues that have been noted in other reviews! Give them a chance - I think they are worth the investment to come back from a run with dry feet!

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 11 GTX:

I have a fairly wide foot and these actually fit me. They're really nice looking and don't make your foot look big. I wear moldable insoles in them and it makes them just perfect for my feet. My foot feels very stable in this shoe. The last is quite straight so I'm not turning in funny like some shoes that have more of a curve.

Comments about Adrenaline ASR 11 GTX:

I got these for my daily 3 - 4 mile walk in winter weather. I measure a normal width and normal heel. The toe box and length are fine. However, these shoes are too big (a full size or more) from the mid-foot to the heel and the heel slips a lot; so much so, that neither a heel insert and thick sock and heel lock lacing help at all. I already wear a medical orthotic, so I can't go a half-size smaller because the length and toe box fit well. The proportions on this shoe design are just odd. I have never encountered this before in any kind of shoe. (I am beginning to think that Brooks changed their entire line because the heels in my new Addiction 11s are loose also. I also think they are using men's standards for women's since men have larger heels overall and that is what this feels like. Brooks' Customer Service communication with me indicated I should try a men's shoe if I don't like the women's, but the heels on men's shoes are even bigger. ) This shoe is heavy, and only offers moderate arch support. It seems to have pretty good motion control. I wish they'd quit messing with the successful designs that people like. These shoes "run big" and the new Addiction 11s are now a full size smaller than street shoes. Makes no sense at all. This would be great winter shoe if they designed it and sized it properly.
