I had been patiently waiting for the release of this shoe for months after hearing about it's concept back in the fall. When the release date came, I was all over ordering my first pair. Anxious is an understatement about how I felt while I waited for them to arrive. When they finally showed up, I was NOT disappointed one bit. They are so incredibly comfortable and soft. The support is unmatched with any other shoe. The ride is remarkably smooth, and the guide rails keep my feet ultra stable. I don't normally need a stability shoe, and I don't pro/supinate, but the cushion on these shoes has made me a believer. "Riding on a Cloud" is most certainly a fitting catch phrase. For a fast, comfortable, cushioning shoe that is pretty to look at and carries a trusted running shoe name, Brooks nailed it.
As far as size is concerned, I wear an 8 in street shoes, but ordered a 8.5 for extra room in the toe box for long distance runs as I normally order in Brooks. I chose the bright pink color and they are epically loud and fun to wear.

I really looked forward to getting these shoes because I need more support than a neutral shoe offers, but don't do well with traditional stability shoes. They felt good on the treadmill in the store, but once I tried them in the real world where not everything is a straight line, not so much. Plainly put, they are not "support" shoes. They are the Dyad with nicer colors and a heftier price tag. I had to use inserts to get any support at all from them, which defeats the entire point of my buying them. After only a few miles in which I felt the aftermath of every minor injury I've sustained over the years, I took them back. They'll be great for someone -- ultra runners who don't need any arch support, perhaps. But they weren't great for me.

I am a runner with bad ankles. These shoes are such a big help. They situate my foot in such a way that it is easier to land more properly, if that makes sense. I don't roll to the outside as much, and have notice significantly less shin pain. It helps that the shoes are also incredibly comfortable, lightweight, and really good looking.

        Please bring back the Trance

I used to run in adrenalines, but needed more cushion. When I found the Trance I was sold. I was disappointed to hear it was discontinued. I thought I'd give the Transcend a go. Unfortunately this is not a good replacement. They're very stiff and aggravate my Achilles. The toe box seems more narrow. I wanted to stick with Brooks for my running shoes, but cannot. They do not offer any other supportive high cushioned shoe. Sorry Brooks, please bring back the Trance!

I bought these shoes specifically to run in. I ran two 5k's in them and walk one 5k. They are awesome. I usually ride my road bike right after for 13-25 miles. Before I got these shoes my quads, shins and knees would be aching. However, now its the runner's soreness and not as if my body has broken down. I love how light the shoes are and comfortable. I can't really speak for wet wether since I have yet to run in the rain. But I did run across puddles and wet grass and the grip was fine. Also I ran a few hills on one of the 5ks and it provides support from impact. I've also worn them indoors on the elliptical and they seem to work fine.

I bought this running shoe since I needed more cushioning and support for my longer runs. My left foot has a high arch and is neutral, but my right foot has an average arch with mild over-pronation. In addition, I've had problems with a corn on my outer, left foot. The Brooks Transcend has allowed me to run very, long runs (16+ miles) with a considerable amount of comfort for my feet, I've also noticed that my knees hurt less afterwards. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone looking for a great combination of cushioning and support.
