Very tight narrow shoe
2017/04/18 | Circleville, OH | Janie
I bought this shoe 1/2 size bigger than my Adrenalines. It is still almost a full size too small. This is a VERY narrow shoe. If you have even the slightest of a wide foot this shoe is not for you! I am training for a half marathon. This shoe is not, for me, a good shoe for this. The heel is tight and the width is very narrow! If you just have to have this shoe, try in stores first.
Didn't quite measure up

Fit issues so I don't use for running. Just an extra pair of shoes.
Dissappointed in shoe structure

Now that I have been more serious in my running, I have thoroughly researched the best shoes for short distances and interval training. While I read the reviews, everyone has different feet so I thought this would still be a good shoe for my shorter distances and intervals. I am disappointed in its performance on the short distances. I knew the shoe might be narrow however, I hoped different lacing might alleviate the tight fitting. I was wrong. My toes begin to lose feeling after the first mile and by the end of mile 3 the outside of the my foot is numb. I have tried different lacing techniques to give a little more space but it has not help. Interval training seems to be okay. I do not have the same issues, however, I am not running at a continuous pace or for long distances. Overall, I am disappointed. I am not able to necessarily be able to afford the latest and greatest generation so they may have fixed this issue in the more recent shoes. However, I would not recommend this shoe unless you already have a narrow foot. They are not good for normal or wide-side feet.

These are light-weight and speedy, not to mention they look great. Only downside is that they run small, I had to size up.
Yes, I would recommend this!
Very disappointed with these running shoes!!!

Very disappointed with this shoe. I have had earlier versions of pure connect and LOVED them. These are very narrow at the top of the foot. After about 15-20 minutes by toes start to fall asleep and have to take them off...I was hoping they would stretch out but so far no luck. Also disappointed because I bought 2 pairs and now stuck with an unsatisfactory product.
This shoe did not work for me

The material that the laces weave through is so stiff it rubs your foot through the shoe. After reading the reviews, I bought a 1/2 size larger than usual since this shoe appeared to run small but it was super uncomfortable for me.

Not nearly as comfortable as previous versions of the shoe.

I've owned older versions of this shoe, and the toe box never used to be this narrow. I have small feet but I feel as though the shoes are choking them. To manage, i've swapped the shoe inserts with those from an old/used up pair. That gave me some room. Really kinda bummed with this one.
Did not live up to expectation

I had to return these shoes. I have used Brooks for 10 years for running, walking and gym workouts. I have use the Pure Flow for my last 2 pairs of shoes. I was disappointed all the way around. The fit changed a lot. Very narrow toe box and an uncomfortable gait. I could only do 20 mins of my normal 60 min routine in these shoes. I had to stop and go back to my old Pure Flows. Sent them back.
