Runs small but great minimal shoe.

I've put about 30 miles on these shoes so far. They feel pretty good. They're the first shoe that are lower than an 8mm drop, and I'm really enjoying running in them. My stride feels more natural and helps me prevent overstriding. It is a responsive shoe (i.e. not really cushion-y but still has some) and flexible. The tongue is a bit weird, has a plastic-y feel. I also wish the toebox was wider. Overall if you're looking for a more minimalistic shoe with just a little cushion, this is a nice choice. Just buy a full size bigger as its narrow and runs small. Ok, but the old Pure models are better

Ahh, can Brooks just make Pure models like the old 2 and 3 versions again?

Ahh, can Brooks just make Pure models like the old 2 and 3 versions again? The newer model didn't ventilate as well. The tongue is not as comfortable. A big problem is the design on the bottom is prone to picking up rocks between the tread. It is very annoying and slows you down. The tread has a bunch of wear on it after only about 20 miles of running. I am a 30 year Brooks wearer. Why change a good shoe and make it worse? Just keeping making the good shoes and don't change them. Read More

Got these to replace my Racer ST5's as my primary racing shoe. I've enjoyed the flexibility/connected feel in track workouts and they've been comfortable on the long runs I've worn them for. The sole of the shoe does seem a bit narrow but there's plenty of room in the toe box so I don't feel crunched. The padded tongue is nice and is comfier on the bridge of my foot than my Ghosts. #ReviewSweeps Read More

What is the difference between medium D and regular D width?

2016/11/19 Miami Tom

Medium/Normal/D width are all the same! This shoe is only made in one width.

Will the PureFlow be bringing out an update to the 5? Will it address some of the fit concerns that PureFlow users of previous versions have mentioned. I have purchased about 6 pair of previous models, but couldn't handle the tight toe box of the 5.

We will release the PureFlow 6 around the beginning of 2017. Changes include: better fit and feel, softer, more breathable, wider

The PureFlow 5 only comes in men's normal/medium/D width. It does not come in a narrow width at this time.
