Additional Information

Embrace the ground beneath you with the featherweight feel and pliable flex of the PureConnect 2. This slim and nimble turn-hugger is the perfect fit when you crave less shoe and more freedom. A split toe groove extends toward the midfoot, engaging the natural movement of the foot and letting you feel every nuance of the run. With rad looks, the baby is ready to run, right out of the box.

Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I purchased Pure Connect 2's due to the sad discontinuation of my favorite Green Slience. The second I slipped my foot into these gems I was won over just like the GS. Perfectly conforms to foot shape and arch. So light, supple, and soft. Promotes midfoot stride even more than my beloved Green Silence. Wore them in last marathon after just 2 runs and never had a better performance nor less soreness after. Usually after mile 20 feet start to suffer and slow but with Pure Connect 2 I ran away with the race of my life. Sizing note: I always wear 10.5 but Brooks recomended a full size up to 11.5. After trying 11 & 11.5 I found half sized up to 11 was the best fit. Love Brooks and their dream Pure Connect 2's!

My last pair of shoes were the Pure Flow and I loved them, probably one of my favorite shoes ever. I'm not a distance runner but I jog, cross fit style workouts, and weights and the Flows were great. So I figured the Connects would be about the same just with less cushion, I was wrong. The arches are very high which doesn't make sense to me on a minimal shoe. They're much more narrow than the Flows, but they fit my foot (normal width). I haven't worn them yet, only tried them on. I'm still deciding if I want to return them or not. If I do keep them I'm taking the stock sole out and replace it with either my old Flow's insert or an aftermarket one but in my mind that contradicts buying a minimal shoe. If the Flow 2s were still in on sale I'd swap them out. I loved my Flows and the Connects seem about the same quality but they just fit totally different. I probably wouldn't have bought them if I had tried them on first. I recommend this product but try them on first!

Comments about PureConnect 2:

ran on them three times for a total of about 10 miles. Glue tack separated near R foot "Nav Band", resulting in mesh fraying. Fantastically comfortable shoe for my biomechanics, but Saucony Mirage is superior construction.

    Comments about PureConnect 2:

This was a purchase for my 13 yr. old son who is an avid athlete and training for his first half marathon. Initially, the (really) high arches seemed like they could be a problem for him but after a couple of runs he got use to them. They were out of the box run ready (other than the arches), there was no breaking in period (not a single blister). They are also extremely lightweight which is a really important feature for him.

    Comments about PureConnect 2:

I purchased these as a marathon racing shoe. I have run a couple hard workouts and a half marathon race in them so far and here are my general impressions.

These are minimalist style shoes. They have decent cushioning, better than a racing flat, but very little support. This was not a problem running on the road, but on trails this was quite apparent. They are also a tight fit. I ordered a half size up from my normal running shoes and they are still narrow in the toe box. That said they are very light and fast shoes and I have loved racing in them. I got a couple blisters from the narrow toe box, but am hoping this problem is resolved when I have a few more miles on them and get them broken in a bit.

Has More Cusion than the Drift and more weight only problem I have with this Shoe is it Needs a Wider Toebox Like the Drift Has. If you add a little more Cusion to them and rename them I love the feel of the Drift.

Been racing in triathlons for 20+ years. Plenty of foot issues. Since running with the PureConnect2, I am back to comfortable fore-foot striking and my foot issues have gone away.
