Additional Information

Embrace the ground beneath you with the featherweight feel and pliable flex of the PureConnect 2. This slim and nimble turn-hugger is the perfect fit when you crave less shoe and more freedom. A split toe groove extends toward the midfoot, engaging the natural movement of the foot and letting you feel every nuance of the run. With rad looks, the baby is ready to run, right out of the box.

Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I purchased Pure Connect 2's due to the sad discontinuation of my favorite Green Slience. The second I slipped my foot into these gems I was won over just like the GS. Perfectly conforms to foot shape and arch. So light, supple, and soft. Promotes midfoot stride even more than my beloved Green Silence. Wore them in last marathon after just 2 runs and never had a better performance nor less soreness after. Usually after mile 20 feet start to suffer and slow but with Pure Connect 2 I ran away with the race of my life. Sizing note: I always wear 10.5 but Brooks recomended a full size up to 11.5. After trying 11 & 11.5 I found half sized up to 11 was the best fit. Love Brooks and their dream Pure Connect 2's!

I bought these hoping I could use them for Crossfit. The only 3 complaints I have about these shoes are; toe box area is narrow due to an under the netting toe wall. This wall is my biggest complaint about the shoe. If your feet start to spread, the toe wall starts to pinch by the outside of the big toe area. In crossfit, we do alot on the balls of our feet, which makes the front part of the foot spread. Ouch!
The second problem I have is that I wear a true to fit size 12. I had to buy a size 13 in the PC2. You better try them on before you order them on-line to make sure you get the right size.
Lastly, the arch support started hurting after wearing them for about 3 hours.
All in All, I returned these shoes to the Retailer for a full refund.
If your foot is narrow, and you get the right size, the shoes will be great runners for you.

Really wish the connect 2 came with an option for wider feet. For more narrow feet, you will not find a better running shoe for the price.

The PURE CONNECT2 has just the right amount of cushion. More than minimus, yet less than most runners... this is the optimum runner for me! I now own two extra pair for the upcoming months/year before they stop making this one : )

    Comments about PureConnect 2:

This is my second pair of the Pure Connect 2. While the Pure Connect 1 was probably a better fit for me, this updated version is still a very solid shoe. I get about 250 miles out of it, and I wear it for work as well as my running. From running on the trails to running on the road, this shoe is versatile and promotes a fast turn over.

From Brooks T7s to Pure Connect 2s

      Comments about PureConnect 2:

I loved the Brooks T6s. They were my ideal running shoe. I didn't care much for the T7s but I wore them as they seemed to be the closest I could get to the T6 fit. I switched over to Mizuno Wave Musha 4 Running but disliked those as well but I am super pleased with these Pure Connect 2. Great, light shoe.

As for fit, I go 1.5 to 2 sizes up. Like the Tseries, these run small.

        Comments about PureConnect 2:

Have used this shoe for both road & trail. It took a bit to get used to the thinner sole however with time I liked the feedback which helped me lighten my step which decreased the impact on my legs overall. This is my second pair. They do wear out faster than other shoes, especially on pavement but it's a trade I can accept.

          Comments about PureConnect 2:

I was looking for something to wear during summer as an every day work/recreation shoe and this is exactly what I was looking for. It was a shoe that covered the whole foot (ie not a sandal) but wasn't big and bulky like an oxford or even a regular training shoe. The only change I would make is to offer a couple other less eye-catching colors you can wear out and about without attraction attention.

Bought this shoes for the marathon I just ran, I broke them in during training and then used them in the marathon and all I can say this was the best purchase ever!

Steady during the whole marathon and comfortable at all times.

IDK if it was because of the shoes but after the marathon I had no blisters! my nails ended perfectly! practically my feet where like nothing had happen!

The shoes fit me just fine, but I have yet to get use to them, I have run about 10 miles on them so far and walked in them a few more, they make my calves hurt a lot but I am sure it just because I need to get use to them still or something.

            Comments about PureConnect 2:

I am a new runner - have been running for a year - and ran my first marathon with these shoes. I also used the PureConnect to run my first half marathon and a few other smaller races earlier this year. I am a big fan of the PureConnects - these shoes helped me develop my running distance and overcome the pains and niggles I had when using my previous shoes. I love the fit for my narrow feet on both versions. The PureConnect2 have slightly more cushioning but the Pure Connect have a better toe box design - the toe box in the PureConnect 2 gave me blisters on both big toes and a few of the other toes whereas the PureConnect did not. I find the PureConnect 2 are a little too rigid in the toe box, and the toes bang a lot into the band on the top of the toe box, causing a lot of pain over long distances. The shoes are otherwise extremely fast, light, and responsive.
