Comments about PureProject Thermal Jacket:

Basically, the jacket is a wonderful product but overpriced. It fulfills many needs - warm even in the coldest weather, blocks wind effectively, etc. - but has a few slight drawbacks.
First, the torso is too long. I am only comparing it against other Brooks products. If you wear a medium in Brooks jackets, expect this to be at least a small bit longer than your other mediums.
Additionally, the jacket is entirely ineffective in wet weather. This makes sense because it is designed for temps too cold to be rainy. Seriously. I wear it running in sub-zero wind chills with only a ss shirt or light ls underneath. However, should it rain, you will find that the jacket will quickly become saturated.
Ultimately, if you want something slick and cool that can double as a casual jacket on the fly and keep you warm in the biting winter winds, this is a great wear.

Comments about PureProject Thermal Jacket:

Great lined jacket. I have the plaid PP jacket from last year and this fits very similar but with an internal cotton/poly liner for extra warmth(hence the thermal description). The material is very subtle in the herringbone pattern, so it pretty much looks like a solid color unless light is shone on it in dim conditions, which then makes it look pinstriped. It has ample hood with brim and cinch cord. 2 side zip hand pockets and one chest pocket that is like a slit in the material(does not zip or fasten closed)about the size of a Gu packet or car key. This jacket is pricey but all the PP line is. The materials are top notch. The fit is tailored yet generous for running(articulatd elbows, wrist lycra & thumbholes). It looks fancy but is right at home at the office or on the trails.
