Comments about Infiniti 3" Split Short:

I am still a fan of short shorts; these are great but I am still not sure about the gu straps. Sometimes they work; sometimes you lose gu.

Comments about Infiniti 3" Split Short:

Everyone is in agreement: the new Infiniti shorts are a step down from the Infiniti III. Unfortunately, the material mirrors a different past model of shorts (HVAC?) and no longer boasts the desirable characteristics of this once-dominant product.
I run 75-100 miles/week in all conditions and need shorts that can handle the hot and dry of a gym and the hot and humid of West Michigan summers. These often fall short. They cannot endure the longer efforts. Anything over 1 hour, and I begin to chafe without fail. Brooks has had some wildly successful shorts over the years, but this material is not passable. I own 1 pair and will not likely acquire another, prefering to lean on my several pairs of Infiniti III shorts, instead.

Comments about Infiniti 3" Split Short:

These shorts are not much at all like the previous Brooks Infiniti shorts. I used to always reach for the Brooks because of how good they felt. The material was lightweight and the shorts never got in the way.

The new shorts are made of a different material - which may dry faster - but the shorts don't give quite like the older model did. If you are squatting or climbing hills, you can feel the material pull tight against your rear end. This is something I don't much like. The combination of the new material and the change in the split design just makes for a split short that doesn't fit or perform as well as the older model.

The new pocket design might work but I have yet to test it with its maximum four gel capacity.
