    Breath ability is good

    2017/04/24 | Boulder, CO |

I wanted to test the breathability right away so I went for a flat, 5 mile run on a cloudy day in the low 60s (I didn't need the shell). I wore the shell and a long sleeved featherweight capiIene shirt. At the end of the run I was wet underneath but I was comfortable and I didn't overheat. I don't know that any any running shell designed to protect from the elements could breath any more than that. You would have to find something less water resistant for better breathability in hot summer conditions.

    Awesome Fit

    2017/03/21 | Lake Charles LA |

The fit is really good and it blocks the wind. I haven't had the chance to wear it during the rain but it's just a matter of time until it gets wet!

    Awesome running shell

    2017/03/18 | Mill Creek, WA |

I use this as my rain running jacket in Seattle, so it gets worn a lot. The shell fits great over a layer for warmth. The cut is perfect yet the back is flexible, so I can wear it during body weight exercises as well as running. The only drawback is the inner arm liner. When wearing a short sleeve shirt, the lining can get pretty sticky against the skin and be difficult to take off. All in all, this is the best running shell I've ever worn and would definitely buy one again.

    Met all my expectations!!

    2017/03/04 | Yorktown, Virginia |

I ran 12 miles with temps starting at 30 degrees and ending at 35 degrees with winds at 8-12 mph. I wore only, one base layer, technical shirt under the jacket. Slightly "cool" for about 2 miles then warmed nicely and performed perfectly for the next 10 miles. Finished my run and was not the least bit "sweaty" underneath!!

    Great jacket but fits big

    2016/08/23 | Lake Forest, IL |

Great jacket, but too loose and big of a fit. I am usually borderline medium/small and a small in other brands gives me the slim fit I like. I got this jacket in small and it is too long and too loose. Fits more like a borderline medium/large. I don't want to go down to X Small (if they even make it in that size) and will just live with it. Hard to find a rain jacket without a hood.

Love this jacket enough that after giving my first jacket to my son for his long vacation, I bought another one for me.

great waterproof shell for light rain

    2016/05/10 | San Diego |

It's a great shell but I do wish it was more breathable. I'm not sure if there even is a waterproof shell that is breathable.

    NOT Breathable.

    2016/04/19 | Minnesota |

Not sure how Brooks can call this breathable. Nowhere for moisture to escape except for two little holes in the armpit area which are useless. Definitely wind and water proof but sweat just gets trapped inside making me cold and miserable on runs. You'll look stylish roaming around the expo but don't wear this while active.

    Keeps the weather out

    2016/04/06 | Michigan |

I bought this for my husband. It is very visible and fit well, it looks like it will really hold up to the weather. However, we ended up returning it because it wasn't very breathable. He said it felt like he was wearing a tarp. All his sweat was trapped inside. This would be great in a rain storm, but not for a normal everyday run.
