So I have the flattest feet on earth. I use the Lynco inserts WITH this sneaker. It is by far, THE BEST SNEAKER one could find. I've worked out harder and lesser over the years at different intervals in life and this sneaker has never let me down. There's a reason why people who are serious about running, COMFORT and PERFORMANCE choose the Beast along with their other shoe line up. They used to wear (seemingly) much worse but as of the last couple of years, they seem to be much better in terms of durability. When I say durability I specifically mean their ability to last as long as an average sneaker would. It was VERY noticeable but again, seems to be better now though they still will never last quite as long as some of the other ironically less well made brands. But with that being said, it's not like you're going to be going back and forth to the store to buy sneakers like you're buying milk from the grocery store or anything. They last long enough. This is THE ABSOLUTE BEST SNEAKER TO BE FOUND and as you can see, they finally stepped their game up with the hot red and gray color scheme. I can't recommend this shoe enough and yes, I am a real person and no one asked me to post this truth. Best of luck, happy trails and blessings!

8 years ago, I injured my foot on the front edge of the forefoot pad in the Beast. I'd switched to running almost-flat terrain instead of steep mountain trails, and I think my foot slid forward a bit and there was a slap slap slap running on that flat terrain with a slight down slope. I'd used the Beast for 4 years then.

I've just tried the Beast again. For two runs. Somehow that forefoot pad and the front edge where the harder material starts is hitting the knuckle of that bone in my foot. Sent them back. Bought the Saucony Hurricane instead, and they're the best yet -- replacing the late Adidas Salvation 3, which I'd switched to after the Beast.

I wear orthotics in both shoes, and a 3/4" heal lift under the orthotic in one. The beast is very well built for all this -- a better ride than the Saucony. But the forefoot pad hits that knuckle of my foot. Ow.

Hope this feedback helps. Thanks for having the guarantee.

I bought this shoe about 3 months ago and I've used them everyday and so far everything has been perfect with this shoe. I use them for work at a hospital setting and to run. I've been recommending this shoe to my fellow coworkers. Very comfortable shoe overall.

My son is 12 he wears a 12.5 EEEE shoes are very difficult to find for him. I am so thankful that Brooks makes a quality shoe for his very active lifestyle. Too bad you don't make football cleats! He has three pairs of these shoes and he loves them. The way that he is growing he will be needing more very soon! Thanks for making such an amazing shoe.
