Technology

DriLayer Horsepower

This fabric evokes the standard measure of power and for good reason. Get the same giddy-up in places where you need a little extra oomph-like tights and sports bras.

Fabric & Care

DRILAYER®

Our signature sweat-wicking fabric is thoroughly tested for comfort, performance, and durability and optimized to keep you, the runner, performing at your best.

Handwashing is ideal, but not always possible. Fasten all hooks and straps, place in a lingerie bag and use the gentle or delicate cycle. Always line dry, and never use dryer sheets or fabric softeners—they can clog the fabric and shorten the life of the bra.

I recently treated myself to two new Maia bras and I am beyond impressed. I wear a 32F bra. It is extremely difficult to find bras for daily wear and close to impossible to find a sports bra that is worth anything. I ordered a 32E (largest cup size available). I mostly do high-impact Zumba/dance classes for cardio 2-3 times per week and this bra is fantastic. I own a previous incarnation of the Maia bra and can say that what I thought was an amazing sports bra already has been greatly improved. The gel-padded straps are a huge improvement. They do not cut into my shoulders and my arms don't go numb during exercise. The underwire, double-bra concept provides great hold and compression during high-impact activities, yet preserves a nice two-breasted silhouette, no shield-chest or uni-breast! The overlaying modesty layer has also improved and I do not bulge out on the sides or over the top as in the previous version. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this amazing bra! I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I had been wearing the older Maia bra for yoga and Zumba for two years — I am a 34E, and really need the shaped cups to provide...shape. The old-style Maia bra looks so great I often wear it under casual sweaters and t-shirts — if it shows with a V neck, it just looks like a black camisole.

I read the reviews that said the new Maia bra was less attractive and less comfortable, but I decided to try it anyway. When I put it on and looked in the mirror, I nearly burst into tears (of frustration). Now my breasts just get pushed back under my armpits to create unattractive lumps. There are a lot of seams on the side of this bra, but the great support in the old Maia just isn't there. And the old, smooth look? Gone and replaced by a lot of seams.

So now my favorite bra has apparently vanished from the planet, and I'm in shock. You have to wonder what motivated them to redesign the Maia bra — perhaps it works better for people with small breasts? I guess that's possible.

    Comments about Maia:

When it comes to shopping for a sports bra, support and coverage is the most critical criteria for me. The Mia fulfills these standards and then some. It's comfortable--no cutting from the wires, no chafing on the straps--and it holds up throughout my workout, no matter how intense or low-key I'm working. Don't change a thing--this is one product that "isn't broke."

      Comments about Maia:

I read the previous comments and was a bit skeptical to purchase but was in serious need of a good sports bra. I do HIIT 3-4 times per week. I get that no sports bra that's going to keep my DDs still is going to be comfortable but as far as sports bras go this one isn't too bad. It's doesn't roll or bunch up on me. It actually stays put even when doing box jump burpees! I will be buying more of these fingers crossed in a smaller size!

          Comments about Maia:

I'm a little more than a casual runner logging 10+ miles a week. I'm also large up top at DD cup which makes finding a supportive bra a challenge-I wear out bras faster than shoes. So I was already hooked on the Maia bra and own several-this new style is even more comfortable than previous. The best part is not having my breasts uncomfortabley squished together which can become a hot mess fast and of course not having a sore chest the next morning. This bra supports and separates. I'd recommend it to any runner for 3K or 5K.

            Comments about Maia:

I have tried others styles and brands and the Moving Comfort Maia is the best I have found! I wear a 38D so support and comfort are key. I love the color and all of the new colors Moving Comfort offers. It's really nice to be able to wear it with matching tanks etc. and not have to buy a brown, black or white sports bra. I am currently training for my first marathon which means long runs once a week and this bra is awesome, it doesn't chaff whatsoever and it doesn't get soaking wet. I love it I will never buy another sports bra, the Maia is the one for me!

            Comments about Maia:

I initially bought the Maia bra because in the past two years I have gone up to a size 32 E bra, which is hard to find in sports bras and it happened to be available in my size. I would order up a band size if you are going to order this because the underwire hurt in my true size (32E). The other down side is that the 'light modesty' of the bra might apply if you never have show through, but I hate seeing peoples nipples showing through bras (including my own) and it does not hide that very much at all. I am returning this bra and trying out a different style. The plus side is that I can see how it would work well for someone else with a large bust if you like this style, it just did not fit what I like.

Best Sport Bra for high impact (especially for larger bust). Offers great support without mashing everything down. Wide shoulder straps distribute weight/support rather than digging in. I love that the inner layer keeps the girls separated. This is my go-to SB for running and boot camp type workouts. But also comfortable for long hikes.
