I wore my Lite Jacket III for the duration of a full marathon in the pouring rain this past weekend. While it didn't keep me completely dry -- nothing could have! -- I was comfortable, and it was perfect for keeping the chill off.

It packs down so compactly and is so lightweight, I will probably run with it for any long distance runs when the chance of rain is over 50%.

I have two minor quibbles about the jacket. First, the plastic zipper looks a little flimsy. I fear it won't hold up for long. Secondly, there are no side pockets. This would be very useful for holding gels, gloves, waterlogged socks that you can't bear to run in any longer, etc.

Apart from that, I absolutely love this jacket and I'm pondering buying a second one!

This jacket was a bit surprising. Very lightweight--which is fine, but it made me wonder how it'll hold up in the rain. I'm near Portland, OR, and I run in the rain, so time will tell. That's why only 3 stars--all the data aren't in yet. Also, I wish the hood was removable--it gets a bit annoying when running on a windy day. Seems like the jacket does keep the wind off, though.

Great for damp mornings at the lake and walking/running/hiking in light rain when it's cool or warm. Featherweight. Good that hood's adjustable or it would cover my eyes.

first time I wore this I ran a 15k in the rain, 34 degrees F and windy. When I finished, I was wet, but it did a dang good job all things considering. I did not overheat in it and the wind did not chill me. Best used in light rain or wind but I will wear it in a downpour again.
