Additional Information

You asked for 'em, you got 'em: compression socks from Brooks! Run happier and recover faster with these knee-high socks. The ideal level of tightness - 12-18 mmHg - helps in recovery; while X-Static fibers inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria, which helps with less stink. A mess panel on the upper foot reduces bulk, while phosphorescent yarn adds better visibility in low-light conditions.

• Glow-in-the-dark details: Phosphorescent yarn receives a light charge for better visibility during low-light hours
• 12-18 mmHG compression: Ideal level of tightness for training and helping in recovery
• Mesh upper foot panel: Reduced built and provides better air circulation
• Flat toe seam: Helps prevent blisters caused by friction
• Cushioned bottom: Provides optimal comfort and support
• X-Static: Inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria

  • Fit: Fitted

I have had a pair of these socks in nightlife colors for over a year. I have not developed any blisters while racing in them over distances of 5km up to 1/2 marathon. There are no seem that apply pressure to your toes or cause blisters or rubbing. I have worn them in temperatures down to 30F with just shorts on and my legs stayed comfortable and warm. I have not run in them in temperatures above 80F, so I have no comment on their function during heat.

I felt like the sock around my foot was very loose and the material catches on my toenails and dry feet.

      Comments about Compression Knee High:

The only complaint I have about these socks is that they don't come in any other colors. I use them for running, and yes they're great for that, but more importantly I wear them to work. I'm a nurse and stand on my feet for 12 hours a day. After wearing these socks to work, I was actually able to go running after work because my feet did not hurt at all. These socks are multi-purpose, and all I need now is more colors to match my scrubs.

        Comments about Compression Knee High:

I love compression socks in the winter! They run a tad large, though. I was able to shrink mine in the dryer for a *near* perfect fit. The compression is just right- not TOO tight, but tight enough. The toes are slightly padded for GREAT comfort, and the sock is very soft and comfy. I really like the bright colors, too. I also appreciated the length. I am super tall, but these were still near my knee.

          Comments about Compression Knee High:

Purchased six months ago and wearing very well. Toe seam is very smooth. Very even compression through out the sock. Brooks was late into the compression market but did a great job the first time and I prefer these over my other compression high socks.
