I bought this jacket for the pockets, color & weather protection. The first time I wore it there was a January breeze. My arms get cold easily. I wore a short sleeve Brooks tech shirt underneath & my arms stayed warm. I really like the dedicated waterproof phone pocket on the inside. The pocket holds my iphone perfectly. The 2 outside zipper pockets are big enough to hold a real set of car keys, cash and nutrition. The jacket is definitely a good investment, it's lightweight but warm. I haven't had the chance to test in the rain yet.

I love the jacket. I needed something "waterproof/resistant" for running in WA state. It's REALLY wet here and thought I'd give this a try. I wore it to my half marathon where it RAINED. It was comfortable, breathable, and reflected well. It blocked most of the wind but the rain went right through it. It would work better if it were a mere drizzle but wasn't helpful during true rain season here. I'm holding on to it but will still search for a more true "water resistant/water proof" jacket.

Runs small - am generally a medium to large and needed an XL, but it is a good product overall. Nice and light!

Comments about Essential Run Jacket II:

I love my new jacket! First running jacket I have ever purchased and I am very happy with it. It has kept me dry even in a down pour. Works best in temps less than 40. A bit tight through the shoulders, but able to move my arms without issue. Highly recommend this jacket.

Love this jacket!!! I have it in 7 different colors. Great for running and for casual wear. Blocks the wind. It is water resistant but not waterproof so you'd be fine in a light mist with it on. Great fall jacket or in winter with another layer underneath. Great colors this fall too!

          nice jacket shoulders too tight

Comments about Essential Run Jacket II:

I wear a Medium in Brook's long sleeve jerseys. This jacket fit well in the body but the sleeve length and shoulder width was too narrow / short in the jacket. I do have broad shoulders and long arms so the fit was not unusual. I moved up to a large. Great jacket however.
