I ordered these in a Small and XS because I haven't worn Brooks shorts before. My waist falls in the Small size range on the size chart; my Hips fall in the XS range. The XS fit ok but they were snug in the waist if I wanted to roll the waist band over. I decided to keep the Small for more comfort in the waist, however I don't find that they are too roomy in the hips. I've only worn them for several runs now including a 12 miler. I find my legs have good range of motion while running and the shorts are very comfortable. I only wish they had a better pocket for gu or house key. The internal key pocket seems a little flimsy at the left waist, and I haven't trusted my house key in it yet, but it looks like the pocket is positioned so that if something does fall out, it would fall into the inner brief, not out the leg of your short. If I could combine this short style and fabric with the 2 internal back pockets from another brand's Pacer short I would have my dream running short :) Still, I like this style a lot and plan to order a second from the new spring colors.

I own and love many pairs of the Epiphany shorts in both size M and S (lost weight and shifted down in size). These new Epiphany II sit lower (or the mesh inner panel won't cover your bottom), but the waist band is as tight or tigher in measurement (if the short has moved lower to hip, shouldn't it be built a bit bigger in waist than predecessor?). Also waist band is too wide (so more pressure on hips). Can't wear these and will return. What a shame - these are favorite shorts because Epiphany's cut is SO flattering and the split side excellent for running (esp. racing). Please reconsider going back to old design.

I love their running shorts and have worn this style for years. This pair was off in the sizing of the waist. That's my only complaint.

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:

I have been running for over ten years, casual and half marathons. All the time while wearing these shorts. What I love most about these shorts are the length. I have found other shorts to be too short. I also appreciate the lighweight liner.

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:

It's finally shorts weather here in the Northeast and I forgot how much I loved these until I organized my shorts drawer, pulled them out and wore them for a 7 mile run. Perfect length, great weight and not too loose/not too tight. They would be perfect IF ONLY they had a back waist zipper pocket to hold my key. Please, please consider slightly modifying them and adding this feature. I'm thinking of wearing them for my next marathon in about a month but really don't want to wear a gear belt and do need to carry my key.

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:

These shorts are very short and tight. Size up for sure. I am 5'8'', 145 lbs, wear a medium in most other shorts (Nike) but even a large in these shorts was tight. If you like short shorts these would be great. Nice fabric.

Comments about Epiphany Stretch Short II:

I have three pairs of these shorts and they are great for every day running. They do rise a little high on my short torso, but that doesn't seem to be an issue for most people that are taller than me (5'1). They are light and comfortable and move well, and are a great length when you don't want to show off your undies!
