I am an avid runner but am also very much into a new work-out mode with a lot of heavy olympic lifting and bar-work. I wanted a pair of shorts I could use for distance runs wihtout them "running up" on me, AND still have a cute, form-fitted short to wear at the gym when lifting: these fit the bill perfectly! Reviews I saw mentioned they were great for running - and they're right! The leg grips are perfect for keeping the shorts in place while running/lifting without being too tight at all! They sit comfortably on the hips and I did not experience the 'muffin top' at all, as I saw mentioned in a few other reviews; for those highly concerned about a muffin-top affect: spandex/boy-shorts [in general!] are probably the types of clohing you should be stearing clear of! Being a petite, 5'2" woman, I am thankful that the legs are not any longer than they are, as I often find them uncomfortably long-on-the-leg - Thank you Brooks for keeping this pair a bit on the shorter side! The only bummer I experienced while buying these shorts was that the colors I would have preferred were not available in my size - something I run into often, but not the fault of Brooks at all!

I was so excited to get these in the mail, but was very disappointed by the way they fit. I am an elite athlete and very lean, but the leg openings gave me a "muffin top". They were cute and would be great for training, but the leg openings were so uncomfortably tight. And the no slip rubbery stuff was very uncomfortable as well.

      Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:

LOOOOVE these shorts. I own them in 4 colors. I ran my first marathon in a pair of them and had no problems with ride-up or chaffing. Only problem is my Gu's fall out of the pocket really easily. They also create a slight muffin top in the legs but I also have larger thighs than my waist so that's a problem with every pair of shorts I own.

      Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:

love the color, length, pocket and fit around the waist. eliminates muffn top. BUT these give you muffin thighs! as a petite 5' 110 lbs lady i have been searching for a compression type short that does not ride up. love the gel around the leg opening because my thighs are on the fuller side. brooks you almost got it right.

          Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:

These shorts are exactly what I was looking for. The length is perfect, not long like a bike short but not too short either. The leg grippers keep them in place perfectly. The material weight is perfect and doesn't feel too thin as previously mentioned by other reviewers. Don't change these shorts at all!

          Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:

These are really great running shorts. Stayed put on a hot 7 mile run. I did have a little trouble with the sizing. For reference I am 5'9" 144 pounds and normally wear a size 6 in pants. I ordered a medium and while the fit was great in the leg it was a bit too tight in the waist and gave me a little muffin top. I ordered a large to see if that would work better and fit great up top but was then a little loose in the leg. Still worked great and didn't notice it riding up much so I kept the large. Back pocket is lined which was a nice surprise however after an hour in the FL heat it still soaked through and my iPod got wet. I think I'll stick to just keeping keys and Gu in there.
Overall a great pair of running shorts that are very flattering on once you get the correct size.

              Comments about Epiphany Boy Short:

I am currently pregnant so was looking for a pair of shorts with a little more coverage. I ordered up a size than I typically wear and they work great. I like that the top can fold down or stay up (for that growing belly). I am not a big fan of the rubber elastic on the bottom of the shorts as it feels a little uncomfortable. The bigger size does not feel like it cuts into my thighs as bad. They are cute and stylish and offer coverage (no shorts crawling up here)!
