Additional Information

We share the Adrenaline GTS love by bringing its supreme fit and feel to neutral runners. The Defyance 6 is packing anatomical Brooks DNA, an adjustable eye row for a fit that couldn't get closer, and a Segmented Crash Pad that isolates each moment of the laydown for a smooth transition. The 6 also gets lighter upper materials for improved breathability and a wrap-the-foot fit. Now neutral runners can stop feeling so jealous.

The new Defyance 7 is now available, with improved fit in the upper.

I run 25-30 miles a week on roads. I have bunions, mortons toes and collapsed 5th metatarsal but love to run. Defyance is the only shoe I have run in for years because it has been the only one that is comfortable for me (except the 4 which I hated). I was nervous about trying the newest version and was delighted to find that it is not really different from the 5 except better! It's comfortable and fun to run in. My only gripe is about that the color combination which is very unstimulating. (With ugly feet I want pretty shoes!!) The fact that there is no choice in colors makes me worry that the Defyance is going to be ended. Please keep in going and in more bright colors!

I've been wearing Defyance (versions 3-5)for over 5 years now and love them. I ran 3 times a week for 6-15 miles total and walked 2-3 miles in them everyday. When one pair wears out, I don't even bother looking at other shoes as Brooks are perfect for my high arch and orthotics. They always feel great right out of the box. I've tolerated the lack of color choices as the shoe's performance is paramount. But now they have eliminated the Wide width option and I am without a shoe. Really disappointing. This was a fantastic shoe. Now I have to go hunting for a new shoe.

    Comments about Defyance 6:

I run on gravel, pavement, and the occasional trail. This is my second pair and I absolutely love them. In particular I like the narrower heel - no slopping around in back. I like the wider toe box - no squishing toes up front. My street shoe size is a 7.5 and I buy an 8.5 Brooks shoe - works for me to have the extra space for my toes while at the same time the shoe holds my foot snugly in place. I've run in many different brands over the years and this is my absolute fav!

        Comments about Defyance 6:

I recently started training in these and have found them to be very comfortable & supportive. They have a very durable feel. I am in my early 50's, have a neutral gait and am training for my first marathon. I previously tried the Brooks Ghost 6, but they did not provide me with quite enough stability and support. The Defyance 6 feel great and I feel very confident that my feet/arches are being supported when I run in these.

How to use the product? Put them on and start running.
Things that are great about them? They are great for my neutral, flat size 11 feet.
Things that are not so great? Nothing, they are perfect. Everything else on my body hurts except for my feet when I'm running and I did 5 half's this year in two pair of Defyance 5's.
