Additional Information

Like peanut butter and jelly or water and energy gels, the lightweight construction and lush cushioning of the PureFlow 2 are a perfect match. The key to blending the two is engineering comfort features in a lean way like a shaped BioMoGo DNA midsole that gives your feet a cushy feel without added materials. It's a match your feet will hunger for.

Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I am loving my new PureFlow 2! I bought these for use in my bootcamp and step classes at the gym. I bought my first pair of Brooks last year to train for my half marathon (Ghost 5) and have been sold on Brooks ever since! I was using other brands for my fitness classes, but since buying these I will never wear anything else! These are so comfy and provide lots of motion for bootcamp etc. I still run in Ghosts but these are even great for short morning runs on the treadmill!

I've been running in the PureFlow 1 and PureConnect 1 for a few years now. I found the Connect a bit narrow for me, but the Flow was PERFECT (Only thing better would have been 0mm drop.) The new PureFlow 2 has a terrible upper. The 1.0 had a nice wide-ish forefoot that allowed my toes to spread (better than the Connect 1.0); and the upper had just enough volume to keep my foot secure. The new PureFlow 2 upper is STUPID. Its narrower in the forefoot (Not the sole, just the upper) - but seemingly made of the same amount of fabric so there's more volume to it depth-wise. That extra volume means that when you toe-off the fabric bunches and squishes the toes. The fabric on the upper is much less soft now as well, so the bunching fabric feels even better (read: not). The asymmetrical lacing/tongue is not an improvement. It's annoying and not beneficial for a distance running shoe. Climbing shoe sure, distance running no. The symmetrical lacing on the PureFlow 1 was very comfortable - I had no pressure points. The soles are still good. :/
I'm returning these. I have to say if Brooks doesn't go back to the original design I'm going to look for a different company.
Dear Brooks: Please go back to the PureFlow 1 design; and make a lighter color shoe per line-up please. Those of us out in the Hot parts of the US find dark shoes impractical.

    Comments about PureFlow 2:

I was looking for a good crossfit/running shoe. This is it! Glad I gave this shoe a try. This is my first, but not last pair of Brooks. I love that they are cute and so very comfortable. I just bought them in another color, that's how much I dig them.

      Comments about PureFlow 2:

Most useful was cushion, and support. I have high arches spurs and plantar fasciitis and few sneakers are comfortable. I need support and cushion and many sneakers offer none nowadays. The only negative was they run a bit bigger in size...bought in a 9.5 for orthotics - couldn't use orthotics - bought them in a 9 (my size) and they feel a little big...not enough to return though...

This shoe looks nice, but I have high arches and it just doesn't work for me. It would be just right for flat or normal arches

      Comments about PureFlow 2:

I was looking for a new shoe to replace the launch I had been wearing for years. I wanted to try a more minimalistic shoe and I first ordered the Pure Connect but it wasn't a good fit for my foot. Though I have what most people consider a high arch and a narrow foot, the arch was too high and very uncomfortable. After some more research I decided to try the Pure Flows and am very pleased that I did. They felt great right out of the box. I don't have a lot of room in them and I need to wear my thin socks, but those are my typical running socks so it's not a problem for me. I've only done one very short run in them but so far they feel great, no complaints. I'm looking forward to putting some miles on these babies!

        Comments about PureFlow 2:

I bought these because I needed a new pair of shoes for the half marathon I am doing in May. I read all of the reviews of the Spring 2014 shoes featured on Runners' World.com and at that time I was between the Pureflow 3 and a New Balance shoe. So next I went to the reviews to see what the costumer had to say about them. A lot of people said that the Pureflow 3 was more narrow, and instantly I knew that was going to be an issue for me. When I read the reviews of the Pureflow 2 from actual runners, I knew this was the right choice.
I was running in Nike Pegasus for a while, and I bought them originally because I was having knee pains. The Pegasus were okay rehab running shoes, but after a while the back of the shoe would rub and irritate the back of my ankle and give me bad blisters. So, another reason I got the Pureflow2s was because the back looked lower.
The shoe is extremely light and flexible, but still has a a lot cushioning. I took them out for their first run in Chicago last Saturday, and I was surprised how far I got in a brand new pair of shoes; 9 miles. I wanted to do 10 for training, but I was pleased to make it past 5 in a fresh pair of trainers.
Lovin the sleek design. It is definitely my favorite shoe thus far both in style and function.
