Additional Information

Getting support doesn't mean gaining weight when it comes to this ultra-light yet stable turn-hugger. It starts with our perfected Rounded Heel that aligns your strike, and then transitions to a sculpted medial midfoot with a wider and more integrated Nav Band, finishing with supreme flex, featherweight materials, and full-throttle looks. The result: feeling supported without feeling the shoe.

Just like our core line, we hold PureProject to the industry’s highest weartest and durability standards. Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureProject line to last approximately 250-300 miles.

I am not a serious runner, I run for fitness and have to limit my distance no more than 5k every other day due to old ankle injury. I ran in PureCadence 2 before this purchase because it was the "only" shoe I could run in. I have ankle damage and heel strike is painfull but I can run in PureCadence 2/3 with little or no heel strike due to the heel design. The #3 is slightly narrower in the toe box than the #2 but not too much. I have wide feet and the #2 needed to be laced tightly. The #3 is still wide enough in the toe with some room to spare with my wide feet. The Nav Band is a different design and is supporting well and the tongue is now open to the outside (which seems more natural), opposite the side it opened on the #2. To sum it up I moved from size 10.5 PureCadence 2 to size 10.5 PureCadence 3 with no negatives to report.

I have been running in the Pure Cadence for 2 years now and loved my PC-2s. Finally wore out the last pair I had and went to my LRS for a pair of the 3's. Fit from the 2's to the 3's is completely different. Smaller toe box, there is a new seam on the side of the foot that wasnt there in the 2's. Shoe just felt completely different on my foot from the PC-2's. Whatever Brooks did to change the design from the last year to this year, please change it back.

        Comments about PureCadence 3:

I really enjoy these shoes. I hadn't run outside in a very long time, although I am an exercise freak. Have never felt 100% comfortable on the trail in any of my previous running shoes; they worked but they didn't inspire me to run. I love New Balance, but mostly for the gym. These shoes felt amazing from the beginning - so much so that I've been on the trail 3 times in the last week, which is more than in my previous 12 months. Am considering purchasing another pair as a reserve. Thanks Brooks!

          Comments about PureCadence 3:

This is my first ever Brooks running shoes. I'm not a regular runner but i like to stay in shape and Air Force life keeps me on my toes.

Pure Cadence 3 is super light and comfortable. I have injured my ankles, knees, and back from other sports which prevents me from putting a lot of miles on my feet. However, PureCadence 3 has limited the impact to a point where I do not feel the pain during the run and the soreness of joints have decreased tremendously.

I've recently started running again and these shoes have improved my 5k time and it even allows me to put more miles again.

Again, i'm not a typical runner and never been one but these shoes makes running much more enjoyable.

the colors and design are not my first choice but I strictly use it for running so i don't really care.

I have a moderate pronation, and besides that I suffer from arthritis, so I need some shoes that ensures me confort but especially protection and support to my feet, and after some use of my Brooks Cadence 3, I definitely have to say that they are the best running shoes I have ever bought!!!
