The Dash 1/2 Zip texture is very soft. I wear it by itself when the weather is 40 degrees or above. When I get a little hot I like that I can unzip the collar to keep me cool. Then when I am done running on my cool down I zip the collar back up. This is my second Dash 1/2 Zip purchased.

Nice shirt for running in cool weather
Living in Florida the weather usually allows for clothing that does not require much warmth. Occasionally though we get weather in the 50s that isn't cold enough for typical cold gear but too cool for normal running clothes. This running shirt is perfect for those type of conditions.

This thing is comfortable!
This shirt is amazingly comfortable and perfect foe runming the darker days of early winter. My only real complaint is in the size. I wear a small medium, but in the medium size this shirt is like a mini dress on me. The chest, neck and shoulders fit perfectly but the length is crazy! The main shirt extends half way down my thighs and the sleeves, I don't even need the extra bit of built in sleeve length for hand warmers. I would buy a size small but I fear the neck, chest and shoulders would be way to tight for me.
