Nearly perfect jacket, except one flaw

I love everything about this jacket. It's extremely comfortable. I get compliments on it whenever I wear it (running + casual). I took it out for an 11.5 mile run in the rain. It kept me mostly dry (no complaints) but the biggest flaw with the jacket is the hood. It would not stay up while running. Which makes the weatherproof feature useless. I wanted to give it 5 starts but knocked it down to…

As Advertised

Jacket blocks wind and repels light rain (not used in a heavy rain). It is light and comfortable. Exactly what I bought it for. Now an essential part of my running apparel.

Buying a Second One Now!

Bought my first one at the local runner's store and was skeptical at first. I was blown away by how lightweight yet warm and breathable it is. I've worn this with just one long sleeve base layer down to about 38F, and with just two thin layers underneath down to 28F. But not only that, this is literally the first piece of clothing I have ever owned where people compliment the look. So I am buying…

I've worn this with just one long sleeve base layer down to about 38F, and with just two thin layers underneath down to 28F. But not only that, this is literally the first piece of clothing I have ever owned where people compliment the look. So I am buying a second to wear when not running, it's just that comfortable and warm. My only complaint is that at 6'1", I need the XL for the sleeves to fit comfortable if using the thumbholes. (The L fits snuggly otherwise. I am on the heavy side, so if you are skinny the L might still work). However, with XL the hood is too loose and there is no way to keep it snug, especially if running into a headwind. Small trade-off. since I love the jacket and don't run in pouring rain more than a couple times per year. Read More

Great Light Jacket

I almost want another one just to wear around so if I go running with it, I can wear a clean one. It feels great and looks cool.

Just about the best apparel item Brooks has produced!

The title of this review is not an exaggeration. Apparel is tricky because what works in one setting often fails miserably in another. This jacket is one of those few items that will defy that concept. I take it everywhere, regardless of the weather, and almost always find myself wearing it at some point. This jacket is one of those few items that will defy that concept. I take it everywhere, regardless of the weather, and almost always find myself wearing it at some point. It is extremely lightweight without feeling like a plastic bag. It fits like a dream (hard for runners to find jackets that do). It dries incredibly quickly. Works great layered over a LS or by itself over a T. Nothing quite like it in recent Brooks apparel history. Read More
