I used my bright blue Launch shoes for marathon training going into the San Antonio Marathon. The shoes were lightweight but had just enough cushioning to support me during long runs. Seems that with other shoes, you have to sacrifice support for lightweight, I didn't feel that at all with these shoes. When I first started using them, the tongue did bunch up on me around mile 10 and would put pressure on the top of my foot. This happened twice, but relacing my shoes by looping through the top two laces (apparently, there is a *right* way to tie your laces for marathons) and this pulled the shoe around my foot better and kept the tongue from scrunching up. The shoes have lasted since October (it's currently the middle of January), while I have racked up long long long runs, including the November San Antonio marathon. I don't feel like they've broken down yet and am actually hoping they take me through spring training and into my next race. Additionally, tying up my shoes and seeing the shoelaces remind me to "Dig Deep" always puts a smile on my face!

I run about 30 miles a week and bought these shoes to run the Cowtown Marathon. My heels have hurt from the first run. I thought they needed to be broken in but the pain continued after many miles both indoors and out. I ran a 10k this morning in a competetive brand and realized the Launch has very little cushion in the heel (comparitively). I LOVE Brooks and have worn the Ghost 3 & 6 and the Glycerin but I found this shoe to be disappointing. I'll keep it for strength training but I won't continue to run in them.

    Comments about Launch:

This shoe is what Brooks are all about. The shoe is lightweight, cushiony but not too much, fits like a glove but not tight. I had the white with blue and when these went on sale I was ecstatic! One of the better running shoes. It's great for any distance and the color is beautiful!

          Comments about Launch:

It runs really narrow, which makes the shoe length seem too long. The shoe doesn't provide as much cushion as the other brooks I have and the cushion is just a notch above the pureflow project shoes.

I don't feel that these shoes will last me a long time.

I haven't decided whether to keep or return yet.

                  Comments about Launch:

I fell in love the second I tried this shoe on. I have narrow feet, and it fit like a glove (if you have wide feet at all, this probably isn't for you). The next day I had a 17 miler road run planned. I knew I shouldn't, but I didn't wanna wear my old sneakers that were heavier & had been hurting my feet. I had no issued whatsoever in these sneakers, right out of the box, 17 miles. My feet felt like heaven. They are my new favorites.

                    Comments about Launch:

I was fitted for these at Marathon Sports in Boston after beginning marathon training and suffering a badly bruised 5th metatarsal. Deciding I needed more cushioning, I bought these. They certainly have been a great shoe for me.
I wore them leading up to and during the Chicago Marathon, and am still training in them 6 months later. They have a long lifespan and can take many miles on many types of surfaces (dirt, trail, snow, road...). After many years of running and many pairs of running shoes, these are my favorite by far. I feel like I'm running on a cloud. There is so much cushion without a lot of bulk.
