I used my bright blue Launch shoes for marathon training going into the San Antonio Marathon. The shoes were lightweight but had just enough cushioning to support me during long runs. Seems that with other shoes, you have to sacrifice support for lightweight, I didn't feel that at all with these shoes. When I first started using them, the tongue did bunch up on me around mile 10 and would put pressure on the top of my foot. This happened twice, but relacing my shoes by looping through the top two laces (apparently, there is a *right* way to tie your laces for marathons) and this pulled the shoe around my foot better and kept the tongue from scrunching up. The shoes have lasted since October (it's currently the middle of January), while I have racked up long long long runs, including the November San Antonio marathon. I don't feel like they've broken down yet and am actually hoping they take me through spring training and into my next race. Additionally, tying up my shoes and seeing the shoelaces remind me to "Dig Deep" always puts a smile on my face!

I run about 30 miles a week and bought these shoes to run the Cowtown Marathon. My heels have hurt from the first run. I thought they needed to be broken in but the pain continued after many miles both indoors and out. I ran a 10k this morning in a competetive brand and realized the Launch has very little cushion in the heel (comparitively). I LOVE Brooks and have worn the Ghost 3 & 6 and the Glycerin but I found this shoe to be disappointing. I'll keep it for strength training but I won't continue to run in them.

I have tried several brands of shoes, this is my second favorate pair of shoes. I need a little more arch in my running shoes. But they are very comfortable and soft on the landing. which is what I was looking for.

Fell in love with this shoe - and then Brooks discontinued it! Can't thank Brooks enough for bringing it back.

I need a shoe that has a wide toe box, is lightweight and flexible. I run with a "chi running style" but I do need stablility for the 14+ mile training runs. I will be running in my Launch shoes in the 2014 Boston Marathon.

              Comments about Launch:

I love the fit and feel of this as a neutral trainer and racing shoe. I've worn it for marathons, road, and loads of trail running. I like that it's lightweight. I've worn it for a few years now and my only complaint is that it gets less mileage than some other running shoes I've worn. But it's such a great shoe, that for me, the lower mileage is a worthwhile sacrifice for an easy-to-wear training/racing shoe that I can use for short or long runs. I never think about my feet, legs, muscles, or knees when I'm using these shoes.
