Great for long runs and short workouts, no break-in time!

I just upgraded from a pair of Launch 4s that I liked, but these I actually love. I am a neutral runner with a higher-than-average arch and slightly-narrow feet. The additional arch support that some have complained about is exactly what I was missing in the last iteration. They are light enough for workouts, yet cushioned enough for a longer run. The additional arch support that some have complained about is exactly what I was missing in the last iteration. They are light enough for workouts, yet cushioned enough for a longer run. Like my previous launches and my Glycerins, they run a half- to full-size too small. Right out the box they were ready for a 5 mile hill workout and I didn't even notice any places they needed to break in. Obviously that could be different with someone with a different foot shape. The one thing that I don't like is that the toe box seems narrower. I could be imagining things or noticing it since the upper is a different material than my last pair. This isn't an issue for me, since my feet are a little narrow, but it could be an issue for some. Read More

Considering buying another pair I love them so much!

I put the shoe feels a half size too small because I feel Brooks run a half size smaller than any other shoe I have purchased. That being said, I know to purchase a half size larger and my shoes are perfect!! I had been in Asics for years but, my most recent experience wasn't the greatest. I had been considering trying Brooks for sometime and, being originally from Boston, this shoe was the…

Wicked Cool

Revenna is my running shoe but these I got to walk in after a long run! They are great and everyone loves them. There just wicked cool ;)

Comfy, but not for long runs

I wanted to love these shoes as much as I (still) love my Launch 3's. I gave them a fair shot, wearing them on about a dozen runs of varying length. What I found was that I loved them for about two miles. After that, it felt like I could feel every crack, pebble and uneven thing that the balls of my feet landed on. I purposely ordered a half size up to accommodate swelling feet as I ran, and I…

What I found was that I loved them for about two miles. After that, it felt like I could feel every crack, pebble and uneven thing that the balls of my feet landed on. I purposely ordered a half size up to accommodate swelling feet as I ran, and I varied the tightness of the laces and the surfaces I ran on. Nothing made a difference after the two miles. Sadly, I will return them and go back to my poor, battered Launch 3's until I find something more comfortable. Read More

Hello, I am very interested in the Boston Launch 5. I have 3 previous pairs of brooks and absolutely love them. I was wondering if this show and style will ever be available in women's wide sizes? I appreciate your help! ~Jackie

Hi Jackie! Unfortunately, we aren't currently planning on making the Launch in wide widths. Brooks Running

I run with the adrenaline. I'm wanting to try the launch. Are they similar shoes?

Hi Casey! They are quite different because the Laucnh is a lightweight neutral trainer that doesn't offer as much cushion underfoot. The GTS has a lot of cushion and support for pronation. If you are looking for something a little lighter you should check out the Ravenna 9! Brooks Running Read More

I usually wear a 11.5 in the Ghost and other shoes, but the Launch is 11 or 12. Do you suggest getting a 12? I am a shamrock fanatic and would really like this pair of shoes, but I don't want a shoe that is not going to be a good fit. Suggestions...

We recommend going with the larger size if your between sizes. Brooks running shoes tend to run on the smaller side.

Are the material from recycling? Wich country are they made? Are they eco-friendly with less petrol and petro chemical polluants ? I am looking for greenest running shoe (I run 1 to 2 marathons per year). Thanks

I just purchased some Launch 5 women's today and hoping they will work well for tomorrow's workout. I sometimes walk outside every now and then. When I do, I try to stay at no less than 4.3 miles an hour. But my day to day routine is on a treadmill. I usually walk at 4.3 for 3 minutes, then run 6.0 for 2 and repeat the process. Definitely doing some walking but want to build up to a couple miles even though I know a long way to go. Hoping I made the right choice for my needs with the Launch 5.

Hi! The Launch should be a great fit! It has less cushion then some other option, but it is very lightweight!
