Additional Information

Every lace and stitch of the all-new Glycerin 12 running shoe goes above and beyond the standards of comfort. This neutral running shoe for women was inspired by the clouds and designed to feel like running in a meadow toward the one you love. New Super DNA provides 20% more cushioning than BioMoGo DNA, while Ideal Pressure Zones in the outsole optimize pressure distribution from heel to forefoot. And the upper? A conformable saddle wraps the foot, while 3D Fit Print creates a custom fit without adding weight. At just 9.1 ounces, the Glycerin 12 is lighter than ever, but full of new technologies to elevate your run.

I work in a hospital and do 2-3 miles of walking each work day. I also am a supernator (serious under-pronator)with scarring from a ruptured plantar fascia. These shoes are very good at stabilizing the rolling of my feet to the outside. The fit is good. They provide adequate arch support, but I could probably use more. However, overall, they allow me to do all that walking without having aching feet in the end of a 12-hr shift. I also like the color choices for this shoe. Mine are the navy.

This was to be my sixth pair of Glycerins, unfortunately, I was very unhappy with them. I can't say enough great things about the 11, but the 12 is totally different and NOT for me.

I loved running in the Glycerins, and thought I had finally found a shoe that would give me the cushion I crave. This new version definitely does not measure up. I thought they felt wrong the moment I tried them on, but hoped running in them would make a difference. Nope. These feel too flat, as if the arch support is gone, and hard, as if too much cushioning was sacrificed for weight.

I got my usual 1/2 size bigger. The length felt the same as usual, but these are narrower than previous versions. I don't have wide feet by any means, but even with loosened laces, they felt too constrictive.

Needless to say, I am bummed. NOTHING else I tried on at the store felt as good as my Glycerin 10s and 11s did. Let's hope the next redesign can address these issues.

I say, if you like this version, you might as well just wear the Ghost as save a few dollars.

    Comments about Glycerin 12:

I love these shoes! I use to run in asics but switched over after a trip to Marathon Sports a few years ago. I have done a few marathons with these and love them. The one thing I don't love though is the color!!! I keep hoping each new release will bring better colors but no such luck! Check out New Balance or Saucony shoe colors and see what you can do because I think it would make the shoe much more 'hip' and attractive to sporty people, the pepto pink color is a bit rough and the all blue shoe looks like a guys shoe- what happen to adding in a pop of color! I have the purple ones that have quite a good amount of color on them now.

      Comments about Glycerin 12:

Previously had the Glycerin 10 and loved how cushion-y they were. Expected similar feel and have been disappointed with the 12s. Also, the back of the shoe is not as tall so there's less ankle support.

Cute colors but really, I care far less about the look than the feel.

I wore the Glycerine 11 last year for the Marine Corps Marathon and loved them. The 12 is even better,, they will run this years MCM! And the colors are so much better than the 11s!

My go to shoe was the Mizuno Wave Rider 16, I had bought to pairs as they were going scarce (and the 17s had horrid reviews) and realized I needed another shoe for marathon training. I gave the Glycerin 12s a try and them work well in my rotation of three for marathon training. I plan on pick up another pair soon.
