Additional Information

Think of the Glycerin 11 as your foot's butler, catering to your every want and need with plush, conformable comfort in every step. The luxury begins with an ultra-comformable upper that uses innovative 3D Fit Print overlays to create structure and reduce weight. We've also removed the midfoot shank to optimize ground contact for a transition that puts the "oo" in smooth. Finished with fresh colors and hot looks, Mr. Belvedere's got nothing on this shoe.

I love this shoe! I am in love with the PureProject line, but I wanted something with a little more cushion for those super long marathon training runs. I was surprised at how light this shoe is for how much cushioning is involved. They are also a really smooth and quiet shoe. It just comfortable all around! I love these shoes so much I convinced my husband to get a pair as well.

I run marathons (sub 4) and half marathons (sub 2). I was a huge fan of the Glycerin 10. When the Glycerin 11 came out, I tried it out and it just fell flat. It does not have the same supportive feel of the 10s because the midfoot shank was removed. Unfortunately, in removing this part, they also removed the responsiveness of the shoe and it feels like you are running on dough. This change caused me to buy every last Glycerin 10 on the market and also try out the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 3, which is more similar to the Glycerin 10. Hopefully, they will reintroduce support in the Glycerin 12 model before I swear Brooks off forever.

This is my third pair of Brooks Running Shoes. The first I bought while training for a half marathon. The only way I can describe these shoes is to tell you to run with yours, then run with a pair of Brooks the next day and you will find that your joints don't hurt, your feet don't hurt and you literally felt like you were running on air. I am 48 years old so running is already painful, but these shoes make running joyful!!!

I recently went to the local running store because I needed new running shoes for summer cross country training and the season in the fall. I was running in a pair of cheap New Balance ones because I have wide feet and they fit well. I realized I needed a better shoe and the workers recomended these shoes after analyzing how I ran. These are so comfortable (in the wides for me) and as soon as I started walking around I noticed a difference. They have a great arch support and hug my foot nicely. As soon as I got home I went for a run and they felt awesome! I highly recomend these!

      Best Shoe I've EVER worn!

      By MB

      About Me Casual/ Recreational

      Pros

      • Comfortable
      • Durable
      • Good Arch Support
      • Good Traction
      • Great Support-stability
      • Lightweight
      • Stable Anklesarchetc

      Cons

      • Needs Ball Cushioning
      • Poor Cushioning

      Best Uses

      • Gym
      • Treadmill
      • Walking
      • With Orthotics/Inserts

In a nutshell, best shoe I've ever purchased. Have trouble with width and height of toe area usually, but NOT with these! Balls of my feet are perhaps more sensitive than the average person, so I had to use extra inserts for more cushion. The inserts also offered a slightly better arch support for me. BUT, with the inserts (after literally 6 months of searching)...I found the Brooks Glycerin...OMG! What a pleasure they are to wear. They'll be my first "go to" when it's time to buy another pair! The best my feet have felt in years...seriously! Cost was well worth it.

Bought them for my marathon training as I wanted extra cushion for the longer miles, yet still wanted a fairly light weight shoe. This is my second pair. Please don't change the model like you did the Pure Flows!
