Additional Information

The Ghost 7 is a triple threat of balance, cushion, and lightweight materials. Hitting the sweet spot for millions of runners, this neutral running shoe for women gives you the stuff to kick back for miles on end, or lean in and pick up the pace. We’ve maintained the horseshoe-shaped crash pad, full ground contact, and omega grooves in the forefoot for the super-smooth heel-to-toe transition runners love. We’ve improved the multi-award-winning Ghost by making it smoother and lighter. BioMoGo DNA in the midsole offers adaptive cushioning while staying more flexible. Bigger lugs in the forefoot make the Ghost feel more responsive as you run. And the look? More modern while remaining technical, thanks to the Ghost’s signature color-shift chevron and no-sew overlays. The Ghost may scare off the competition, but it’s plenty friendly to your feet.

I am a Supinator and I frequently experience foot pain but with the Ghost 7 my foot pain and discomfort has decreased significantly. The Ghost 7 sneakers have a very comfortable fit, flexible but secure and I like the colors (I have them in "Slvr/MulbryPrpl/PoolGrn").

Don't mistake me: this is a very good shoe. I started training in these a bit less than a month ago, alternating with my old shoes to avoid blisters (an unnecessary precaution since these are a great fit - no chafing or rubbing anywhere, lovely and light).
However: even though I have hardly trained with them yet, the lining around the ankles is already worn through. I have never had that problem on my previous shoe. I cannot believe after 6 or seven shortish (between 5 and 20k) runsthe lining should already be giving way.

This is my first running shoe that does not stand friction. Taking it back to the store tomorrow. A real pity, apart from that, I loved these shoes

Comments about Ghost 7:

I am a registered nurse and I wear ghosts for work, running, and strength training. I love these shoes!!! They are so comfortable and very diverse. The only con I have is how quickly they wear down. Not sure what it is about the bottom treads but my week old shoes are already coming unglued on the bottom. That bums me out. If they continue to wear down I will return them within the month and try again with a new pair. Other that, I love these shoes and will wear loyally....may just need some super glue for the bottoms!

            Comments about Ghost 7:

I wear the shoes all day at work but also for my gym and running workouts. I used to wear the Brooks Cascadia but moved to a part of Texas with limited trails so I decided to try the Ghost shoe. They were lighter than I expected since they've got enough cushioning that I can feel it, but not too much to where my foot doesn't know it's running.

            Frustrated

              Comments about Ghost 7:

I have been running Brooks Ghost for years. I run a lot and buy several pairs of shoes/year. (I usually end up with one of every color of every version to give you an idea) I was so excited to see the bright color of the Ghost 7 and ordered my usual size. I ran in them a few times and noticed it was taking longer than usual to get them to settle in, I was adjusting the laces more than I have had to in the past.
Typically I run about 25 miles a week- (distance increasing- marathon training) Last week, I ran a half marathon in them and it was terrible, I guess that was the day the shoes decided to completely break in or something. They were so big, my foot was sliding around in them, it was painful to run in them. I had to stop and take the shoe off and look to see if something was wrong twice during the race. It got so bad, I actually considered taking them off and trying to run barefoot. It was even a humid day so if anything the shoe should have felt smaller. Based on how they felt, I would guess the toe box has been redesigned and is wider. ( I have average if not slightly wider than normal feet so if this shoe is too wide for me- something has to have been adjusted)
I tried ordering a half size down - and they are too small- my toes are hitting the end of the shoe and after 15 miles yesterday, I would not be surprised if I end up with some black toenails.
I am really frustrated because I need running shoes and cannot be without them as it sets training back. I checked the site again today to see if there was a narrow option for the shoe, hoping that would fix the issue and it does not come in narrow.
I was also disappointed in the quality - by the top lace hole, the stitching is undone and you can see the white fabric/padding underneath. I will update my review with a picture of the defect.
This may be a version to skip- sadly- because the colors are finally great.
