Additional Information

The Ghost 7 is a triple threat of balance, cushion, and lightweight materials. Hitting the sweet spot for millions of runners, this neutral running shoe for women gives you the stuff to kick back for miles on end, or lean in and pick up the pace. We’ve maintained the horseshoe-shaped crash pad, full ground contact, and omega grooves in the forefoot for the super-smooth heel-to-toe transition runners love. We’ve improved the multi-award-winning Ghost by making it smoother and lighter. BioMoGo DNA in the midsole offers adaptive cushioning while staying more flexible. Bigger lugs in the forefoot make the Ghost feel more responsive as you run. And the look? More modern while remaining technical, thanks to the Ghost’s signature color-shift chevron and no-sew overlays. The Ghost may scare off the competition, but it’s plenty friendly to your feet.

    Bring Back Ghost 6

I loved Ghost 6 and was excited to see an update. Unfortunately, my new Ghost 7 leave me wanting my Ghost 6 back. Something changed in the toe box. The Ghost 7 gave me a blister. In over a decade of running, I've never had even one blister. I loved the Ghost 6 and will go back to them until I can find something else. So disappointed.

I run and these shoes have been great for cushion and support. They are not great in wet conditions.

          • With Orthotics/Inserts

Ghost in width 2A is best fit I have found for my tricky feet: extremely narrow heel; less narrow (but still narrow) at mid-foot and toes. Accommodates custom orthotic, which provides the arch support I need (feet are flat, too).

I'm always a little hesitant to say too much, as I am a very long way from being an expert on...well, anything much to do with athletics. But, that said, these shoes are absolutely wonderful. I run most mornings for two or three miles, usually on asphalt.

The Ghost 7 is light, comfortable, cushions my feet, and my legs feel great. Further, I haven't needed to put in insoles, though I usually do for almost every shoe I buy, and I have some great shoes.

The one downside I'm seeing is that, having had these shoes for just two weeks, the tongue is already fraying. The sole is wearing down very quickly (I mean, two weeks? Really, Brooks? It's not like I wear them all day and run marathons every single day!).

Given the feel of these, I'm going to buy a new pair when these die.

Don't mistake me: this is a very good shoe. I started training in these a bit less than a month ago, alternating with my old shoes to avoid blisters (an unnecessary precaution since these are a great fit - no chafing or rubbing anywhere, lovely and light).
However: even though I have hardly trained with them yet, the lining around the ankles is already worn through. I have never had that problem on my previous shoe. I cannot believe after 6 or seven shortish (between 5 and 20k) runsthe lining should already be giving way.

This is my first running shoe that does not stand friction. Taking it back to the store tomorrow. A real pity, apart from that, I loved these shoes
