Additional Information

The light, bouncy, and balanced ride of the Ghost has haunted the dreams of many competitors -- and it's about to get frighteningly good. We've taken the transition from silky to ridiculously smooth by removing the midfoot shank and creating full ground contact from heel to toe. The underfoot gets even more love with a horseshoe Segmented Crash Pad that wraps the heel from medial to lateral sides and articulates the laydown. What does all that mean? Looking as good as it feels, you'll fall in love with this friendly ghost.

We’re not the only people who have fallen in love: Runner’s World® named the Ghost 6 "Editor’s Choice" in the Fall Shoe Guide in their September 2013 issue… the fourth straight Ghost to earn the honor. They called out the new forefoot overlays welded on rather than stitched, but really loved “how fluidly the shoe rolls from heel-strike to toe-off." In short, the Ghost 6 offers "a sweet balance of weight, cushioning, and everyday durability" – and the editors say "The lightest Ghost we've seen leaves nothing out." Can you say "Four-peat"? Spooky good.

Love the Ghost but hate running in the rain? The Ghost 6 GTX is also available. Everything you love about the Ghost, but with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® membrane to keep your feet dry and comfortable. No more blaming it on the rain!

My first review on these shoes was that they were too firm. While I still would like to see them a bit more cushioned, I have to say after using them for months they have become my favorite. The fit and feel of the shoe is very good. They have a bouncy feel to them. They also have good flexibility and are light on your feet. Don't think I've had a shoe that fits my foot any better, and I've ran in 20+ different kinds. I even reach for them first when I looking for a causal shoe to wear. The workmanship of this shoe is better than most. They seem really well built. Highly recommend them!

The fit and feel of this shoe is good. The problem I have with it is that it's to firm on impact for my liking. I currently run in it and the Saucony Triumph 10. The Triumph has a much softer feel on impact than the Ghost. The Ghost however in most other areas outshines the Triumph. I just wish it had a softer feel on impact. Perhaps that's just a personal preference, but I like my cushioned shoes to feel softer. Wish it was as soft as the Triumph, hands down it be the better shoe.

    Comments about Ghost 6:

I'm walking on concrete all day. By 3 pm my lower back to my feet are pounding. I read online that the brooks glycerin were some of the best shoes for walking on concrete all day. I couldn't afford $150 shoe. I went on brooks website to build your shoe for your body structure. It stated I should use the ghost 7. I couldn't afford the ghost 7 at $120. I chose the ghost 6 at $70 more my price range. Very nice shoe. Not as cushioned as website states. My asisc might be more comfortable but not as lite. This is a very nice shoe though. Wish the glycerin wasn't so overpriced.

      Comments about Ghost 6:

The best testament to these shoes I can give is that this is the third pair of Ghost 6's that I've purchased and I'll probably pick up a fourth pair for future use since I'm sure they will be gone sooner than later.

The are light weight, but they definitely don't sacrifice in cushioning. I'm putting about 30-35 miles on each week. These perform just as well on my long run as they do during the shorter runs. It's an overall GREAT shoe!!!

Bought to wear to work. I have high arches & plantar fasciitis, & these help a lot on the concrete floors. They are inconsistent in sizing. These are my third pair of Ghosts & these feel about 1/2 size bigger than the last pair.

I love the shoes, but lately, I have been getting blisters on some of my toes with the new pair I just purchased. This has never been the case before with my old pair. I have been putting in 7+ miles every other day or so, so this may be the case. I just hope its not something that is wrong with the new pair.

            Comments about Ghost 6:

I have had chronic knee problems and it was hard cor me to find the right shoe. I got fitted at a local running store and I got paired up with the brook ghost 6. I had always heard of brooks being a quality running shoes but had never owned a pair. These shoes are great I have put hundreds of miles on them and they didn't fall apart at all. Very reliable shoes with great support and comfort. I was so satisfied I bought another pair because I enjoyed my first pair so much. I run atleast 4 times a week and put in about 40 miles a week so I have a lot of experience with this shoe.
