Additional Information

The light, bouncy, and balanced ride of the Ghost has haunted the dreams of many competitors -- and it's about to get frighteningly good. We've taken the transition from silky to ridiculously smooth by removing the midfoot shank and creating full ground contact from heel to toe. The underfoot gets even more love with a horseshoe Segmented Crash Pad that wraps the heel from medial to lateral sides and articulates the laydown. What does all that mean? Looking as good as it feels, you'll fall in love with this friendly ghost.

We’re not the only people who have fallen in love: Runner’s World® named the Ghost 6 "Editor’s Choice" in the Fall Shoe Guide in their September 2013 issue… the fourth straight Ghost to earn the honor. They called out the new forefoot overlays welded on rather than stitched, but really loved “how fluidly the shoe rolls from heel-strike to toe-off." In short, the Ghost 6 offers "a sweet balance of weight, cushioning, and everyday durability" – and the editors say "The lightest Ghost we've seen leaves nothing out." Can you say "Four-peat"? Spooky good.

Love the Ghost but hate running in the rain? The Ghost 6 GTX is also available. Everything you love about the Ghost, but with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® membrane to keep your feet dry and comfortable. No more blaming it on the rain!

My first review on these shoes was that they were too firm. While I still would like to see them a bit more cushioned, I have to say after using them for months they have become my favorite. The fit and feel of the shoe is very good. They have a bouncy feel to them. They also have good flexibility and are light on your feet. Don't think I've had a shoe that fits my foot any better, and I've ran in 20+ different kinds. I even reach for them first when I looking for a causal shoe to wear. The workmanship of this shoe is better than most. They seem really well built. Highly recommend them!

The fit and feel of this shoe is good. The problem I have with it is that it's to firm on impact for my liking. I currently run in it and the Saucony Triumph 10. The Triumph has a much softer feel on impact than the Ghost. The Ghost however in most other areas outshines the Triumph. I just wish it had a softer feel on impact. Perhaps that's just a personal preference, but I like my cushioned shoes to feel softer. Wish it was as soft as the Triumph, hands down it be the better shoe.

      Comments about Ghost 6:

I use my Ghost 6 in the gym while weight training and using treadmill/elliptical machines. I am a fair weather runner. When I do run wearing the Ghost 6 I never have any foot or leg pain at all. I have lenghtened my running distance because of this.

        A great pair of shoes

          Comments about Ghost 6:

This is my fourth pair of Brooks Ghost shoes. These shoes are very comfortable and work great for me. I'm 6'2" and 190 pounds so I'm a larger runner but these shoes hold up well for me.

I have no complaints about them. On occasion I'll even run trails with them and they feel good on the trails. The traction is not the best for trails but to be fair that is because they are not designed for trails.
