My new favorite running shoe!

I use this shoe for trail running, mostly beach trails. They are light, but still have a thicker sole which is super supportive. Although this shoe is designed for outdoors, I'd recommend it for any type of training!

So far, so good

I've been running roads (and trails) in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for 10+ years (over many generations) and was ready to move to a more sturdy sole for running trails. I also am interested in moving slowly towards a zero drop shoe. I've been running roads (and trails) in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for 10+ years (over many generations) and was ready to move to a more sturdy sole for running trails. I also am interested in moving slowly towards a zero drop shoe. I picked the Cascadia using the online decision support tool on the Brooks website - noting that the Cascadia's drop is only 2 mm less than the Adrenaline. I do notice the drop, and the added 1.5 ounces of weight, but it hasn't given me any problems. I'm in the same size in the Cascadia as I wear in the Adrenaline 18s. The Cascadia's lateral upper panel comes around the foot nearly to the top midline, which I was worried would be a problem with my high bony arch, but I've been loosening the laces just slightly at the bony area and haven't noticed any pressure or rubbing. I got some slight rubbing on one heal yesterday after about 4 miles, but it was likely something that could have been fixed with a lacing adjustment. By the way, the laces on these shoes are interesting - they have some structure and shape to them, and hold very well at each particular eyelet, which makes it easy to customize fit around each part of the foot. The soles do seem stiffer (which is what I wanted for rocks and roots) and the added grip on the outer sole has been sufficient so far (though I've mostly been only on non-technical trails). I can't think of any true negatives, but as no shoe is perfect, I'm giving it 4 stars. So far, so good, Brooks. Thanks for keeping me moving over the years. Read More

Comfortable & worth it!

This shoe is amazing! My first running shoe was a Nike shoe and lemme tell you it was a bad experience. My bottom of my foot hurt all the time & at track practice I would die! Plus I had to purchase my own cushioning for the shoe & it wore off quickly. Purchasing these made my XC runs a whole lot smoother. Not only can this shoe be able to support you when running on a trail, it can support you…

Plus I had to purchase my own cushioning for the shoe & it wore off quickly. Purchasing these made my XC runs a whole lot smoother. Not only can this shoe be able to support you when running on a trail, it can support you on the roads & sidewalks as well. I cannot wait to come to practice Monday w/ these babies. I am beyond proud of my purchase. Worth your money clearly. I was told to get some by a friend of mine on my track team. These are a great fit. Read More

We are taking a trip to various places in Alaska this summer. We will be hiking around glaciers and in and out of the rainforest. I was wondering if the Cascadia 12 is a good fit for the different terrains and outdoor conditions. Even though it isn't waterproof, does it still stay dry going in and out of rain/snow?

Curious to know how the Cascadia 12's compare to the 10's. I currently have the 10's in a 6.5, and need to replace them. Thanks!

Hi my lace on one Cascadia 12 color 604 orange accents purple shoe, is frayed right where I tie it. I bought in July 2017 and only were occasionally. Is there a way to get replacement laces? I live in TX and bought in VT so hard to go to store
