I understand these fit narrow/small to most people compared to the non-goretex Cascadia. I have never run in those. I have narrow feet/heel, so it can be a challenge to find a good fit. These shoes fit great. I was skeptical about the narrow/pointed toe box, generally prefer wider; but actually like how this feels and handles. I bought these for winter trail running in Pisgah, potentially in rainy or wet conditions. Ran a section of the Shut In trail in drizzle first time out with these, and they handled great, good grip. Not overly cushy shoe. They remind me of older NB trail shoes from a decade+ ago that came in a B width. Read More

Great for rainy and snowy trails. However, I will not be able to use them since they are too narrow. I would recommend that people who want to buy this model try it in a store first. Read More

These fit so different I wish they had their own name. I've been wearing the same size Cascadia for many generations and these fit almost an entire size too small. The toe box also seems much narrower than the Cascadia's I've been running out. Returned. Read More

If I am an over pronator, will this shoe support me?

2016/11/07 Winona, MN Killentime

This is a neutral shoe that does not have support for overpronation.

Noted that some of the shoes feature goretex or water-resistant uppers, but what about the soles? would any of the soles be considered more slip-resistant than others / or offer better traction? thanks.

2016/10/28 seattle carl

Currently we do not have a shoe with a slip resistant sole.

how much do they weigh

2016/10/20 phila. pa. geritol

13 oz.

Is the toe box on this shoe built like the Cascadia 11 Trail shoe? In other words is it narrower, the same or wider?

2016/10/18 California PCT Clay

This will be the same fit as the Cascadia 11.

I've been waiting a long time for Brooks to come out with a GTX version of the Cascadia. Bravo! But I've got to say that I'm disappointed in the color; or should I say lack of color —pretty bland, to put it mildly. Any chance you're going to give us an option with more pizzazz?

2016/10/13 Corvallis, OR Tom

This is the only color offered at this time. Stay tuned to see colors for the next version!
