Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love these shoes!!! I am an avid runner, I run half and full marathons and I also run cross country for my school. In addition, I attend spin class once a week, and lift weights three to four times a week, and these shoes are perfect for them all! I suffer from severe pronation, that has led to stress fractures, and these shoes help immensely with that! They are the only shoe that I have found that is enough support to help with my pronation, but that does not give me painful blisters! Like I said above, I have suffered from stress fractures due to running, and my doctor said that because of my over pronation, I am prone to get more stress fractures, and as long as I have had these shoes, I have not had any problems!! Fingers crossed! These shoes are also very sturdy, and after 500 miles, the soles still look very good and stable! I am on my 5th or 6th pair of Brooks Adrenaline, and I love them! I wear them with cheap arch supports that I bought at the drug store that I have been using for about 4 years, along with nice, thick running socks, and I am so pleased. Not to get too off topic, but I have found that good, quality, thick running socks are sometimes just as important as good running shoes. I definitely recommend investing in good running socks. Anyways, I absolutely love these shoes, and have no complaints. I run both on trails, road, and treadmills, and they are perfect for all surfaces. These shoes are great for speed workouts and distance runs. My only complaint, is that there are other shoes significantly cuter than these, but I can't really complain because these shoes have kept my running and healthy! As long as Brooks stays the same, or improves, I will always buy Brooks Adrenaline! I am so impressed! Many of my teammates and fellow runners swear by these shoes also!

While I decided to keep this shoe, I have to say that I am sorely disappointed in the changes Brooks has been making. First, the color selection has become more and more gaudy each year. I used to have a pair of silver and white Adrenalines that had dark purple and pink ACCENTS rather than being covered in garish colors that look like a shoe for teens. I also have noticed that the quality is going downhill fast, as the mesh does not feel or look durable and there are no longer holes for the laces. REALLY??? You had to go and put a cheap piece of polyester or nylon tape in place of the lace holes???!! I am seriously considering looking into another brand of running shoes if things do not change here.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I have worn nothing but Brooks Adrenaline since I starting walking and running in 07'. I've NEVER had an issue. I have a wide foot and I pronate. I ordered two pairs and have worn the 1st pair a total of 5x-granted they were long walks, the top is already torn. I'm sending this pair back. I hope it's a fluke and the next pair wears better.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I have been purchasing the GTS shoe for 11 years mainly for it's good arch support and comfortable fit. It has been a plus in the past that they usually last a long time. Unfortunately not only does this shoe feel too wide (even a 2A, narrow), it does not have the support that I have found in all of the past years. This shoe wore a hole in both big toes within 5 weeks and the tread wore out in about 2.5 months. I have always been only a Brooks Athletic shoe purchase so I sure hope next year you can bring back some better features of the past year's models. Thank you.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I bought these shoes and had them for one week before the bottoms started peeling apart. I returned to the store and they replaced no problems. Again the second pair started falling apart and soles started peeling within 10 days. I called Brooks and they wanted to know what kind of activity I do. I don't run but I do Zumba 2-3 times a week. They explained to me that Brooks aren't meant for lateral movement so I exchanged again and used the new pair only for walking. Within a month they looked as if they were 2 yrs old. Bottom soles peeling, fabric around where your foot slides into worn away and cushioning showing through. I have worn Brooks for the past 6 six years and have always been pleased with my shoes. I'm hesitant to buy Brooks again after this experience.

    Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline with an orthotic insert for about the last 5 years due to recommendation of my podiatrist. I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis. Up until the GTS 14, I have loved the shoe and wore no other. This shoe feels bulky and big and heavy. The garish color , white/fuschia/midnight is awful. If I wear them for any length of time, I develop pain in the ball of my foot , and I have to either remove the shoes or put on an older pair. This never happened with the earlier models. I tried brand new inserts, went back to the old inserts, nothing helps. I find myself wearing my older worn out model, the GTS13 almost all the time.
