Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love these shoes!!! I am an avid runner, I run half and full marathons and I also run cross country for my school. In addition, I attend spin class once a week, and lift weights three to four times a week, and these shoes are perfect for them all! I suffer from severe pronation, that has led to stress fractures, and these shoes help immensely with that! They are the only shoe that I have found that is enough support to help with my pronation, but that does not give me painful blisters! Like I said above, I have suffered from stress fractures due to running, and my doctor said that because of my over pronation, I am prone to get more stress fractures, and as long as I have had these shoes, I have not had any problems!! Fingers crossed! These shoes are also very sturdy, and after 500 miles, the soles still look very good and stable! I am on my 5th or 6th pair of Brooks Adrenaline, and I love them! I wear them with cheap arch supports that I bought at the drug store that I have been using for about 4 years, along with nice, thick running socks, and I am so pleased. Not to get too off topic, but I have found that good, quality, thick running socks are sometimes just as important as good running shoes. I definitely recommend investing in good running socks. Anyways, I absolutely love these shoes, and have no complaints. I run both on trails, road, and treadmills, and they are perfect for all surfaces. These shoes are great for speed workouts and distance runs. My only complaint, is that there are other shoes significantly cuter than these, but I can't really complain because these shoes have kept my running and healthy! As long as Brooks stays the same, or improves, I will always buy Brooks Adrenaline! I am so impressed! Many of my teammates and fellow runners swear by these shoes also!

While I decided to keep this shoe, I have to say that I am sorely disappointed in the changes Brooks has been making. First, the color selection has become more and more gaudy each year. I used to have a pair of silver and white Adrenalines that had dark purple and pink ACCENTS rather than being covered in garish colors that look like a shoe for teens. I also have noticed that the quality is going downhill fast, as the mesh does not feel or look durable and there are no longer holes for the laces. REALLY??? You had to go and put a cheap piece of polyester or nylon tape in place of the lace holes???!! I am seriously considering looking into another brand of running shoes if things do not change here.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

Shoe felt stiff at first, but eased up after a couple runs. Got a weird blister from a seam inside shoe, but was easily fixed by cutting the string inside. Overall love this shoe!

Love narrow fit, not narrow color choice

About Me Casual/ Recreational

  • Pronation Control

Cons

  • Color Choice

Best Uses

  • Gym
  • Walking
  • With Orthotics/Inserts

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I have problem flat feet, and I have been wearing and repurchasing this shoe for years now. It just feels the best for my really unstable feet. My only complaint is the color choices for narrow. It's already hard enough to find shoes I can wear, so when I show up to the shoe store and they pull out pink and white, I was pretty brought down. Blue and white was getting boring, but pink? It's kind of loud and girly, and these are the shoes I wear Every. Single. Day. Everywhere.

I'd really like to see a narrow choice that is not all white and bright. Like the ones I see in other styles that are mostly grey instead of white, MAYBE with some accent of color. But one that isn't as polarizing as pink.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I use them every other day for jogging. I log at least 20 miles each week. The color is awesome but I wear them out quickly. My previous ones only lasted 200 miles. Hopefully, this pair will last a bit more.

    Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I am a college athlete. I am currently training for cross country. This shoe is very comfortable. They were a little stiff at first, but I quickly broke them in. They have good traction, they dry quickly. They are pretty lightweight for the amount of stability they have. Stability is what I was mainly looking for and they are outstanding in that area.
