Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I love brooks. I have wide flat feet (11-4e) and Brooks has been the one show that consistently fit. I have had several pairs of Brooks shoes, including older versions of the Adrenaline GTS 11. I was very excited to be getting the new GTS 14, but much to my dismay I found that the outside arch had been brought in and adjusted just enough to be painful.

I went out for a short 4 mile out and back run and ended up turning around after just a mile or so.
The fit in the heel and the toe box was perfect, but the OUTSIDE of the arch was very painful. At first I attributed it to the stiffness of new shoes, but when I found myself hobbling I decided to cut it short. I compared the soles to a pair of my GTS 11s and sure enough it was just a bit skinnier in the painful spot.

I will continue to try out other Brooks products in the hope that I can find a pair that fits properly, as they have been great shoes. I am also extremely sad to find that my favorite line of shoes no longer fits me.

I will continue to recommend that people try Brooks, but not with as must zeal as before.

Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

As a 3rd year dental student working in the clinic I'm constantly on my feet, running up and down stairs and chasing down instructors. The Adrenaline GTS 14 series is my go-to shoe for clinic. This is my 4th pair of the Adrenaline series.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

Ok at 58 I am not a long distance runner. My chiropracter said the more I walk the better i will feel with my lower back pain. I try to walk 4 times a week at 3-4 miles a time. The name brand shoes i had before this was all my feet could handle. Now with my Brooks I have finished a few 7 mile walks and even on around 10 miles. To some that does not sound like much but last year I could barely walk. With my new Brooks maybe I can even start running again.

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I have been a Brooks Adrenaline fan since 7-8 years now. My Go-To-Shoes have always been Adrenaline GTS series. I have tried other brands in the past but have always come back to Brooks GTS series. I recently tried the Ravenna5 from Brooks but they don't do as much for me as the Adrenalines. The shoe adapts well to my feet and provides more than adequate support to my feet as I have collapsible arches. GTS absorbs shock from ankles and knees and reduces pain in heel, Achilles, knees, calves, hips and lower back due to good absorption of shock on impact. Shoes are awesome during long marathon training runs and perform splendidly during races as well. Only down side is that they are not as moisture resistant as required in the intense humidity and monsoons of South FL, which makes them harder to run in in humid or rainy weather. Way to go Brooks...as I just ordered my GTS15 pair online. Please don't change my GTS shoes a whole lot!!!

      Comments about Adrenaline GTS 14:

I walk 4.0+ Miles every single calendar day consecutively without fail, and have been doing so for the last 1720 Days as this writing. This is my 4th pair of Brooks. Don't get me wrong, the shoe is well made, but it lacks cushioning and a feeling of propelling you forward. Walking in them is like slogging through mud and the pain in my shin muscles is like I have been riding a bike up hill for hours. The price for a shoe that will eventually wear out in about 10 months time (and that is really pushing the limits of it) is not worth it. After this pair I will be looking at other runners. Sorry Brooks, this shoe does not cut the mustard with me.
