I have extremely flat feet, wear orthodics, weigh in at about 135 lbs. and have always been plagued with IT band issues. My podiatrist recommended the GTS line to me several years ago and I've been happily running in them since. After putting a little over 400 miles on my last pair of 10's, I headed to the store for a new pair of GTS shoes. I tried the 11's and 12's on side-by-side and really like the comfort, support, fit, and control of the 12's. Actually, I'm disappointed that I didn't switch to these shoes sooner, because with my custom orthotics and my GTS 12's I'm in runner's heaven. The shoes are light and cushioned in all the right places. My feet felt comfortable and pain-free and my IT band wasn't complaining. The shoes handled road and light cross country running with aplomb. If you've got pronantion issues or are looking for a shoe to complement your orthotics, you've found it.

I like the the upper and the styling of the Adrenaline GTS 12, and the same comfortable fit as the GTS 11 is certainly there. But, the 12th edition just doesn't have the same great ride as I have enjoyed over many miles with the 11th edition of the Adrenaline. The cushioning of the 12th edition definitely feels firmer to me, and the shoe is not as flexible. I actually get a bit of soreness on the bottom of my heels after my longest runs. Don't get me wrong, I still like the GTS 12 and think its a good shoe, but for me it's not a great shoe like the GTS 11. Folks who like a really firm stability shoe I think will really like the GTS 12. As for me, I am keeping my pair of the GTS 12s and will continue to run in them, but I'm stocking up on the GTS 11s!

Adrenalines feel like home

I usually have 2-4 shoes in my rotation. It's recently been two pairs of Adrenalines and a pair of Vibrams that I wear to work on form and joint strength. The Adrenalines take the lion's share of the mileage.
My wife and a few others have recently been raving about a competitor's shoe and urging me that I MUST try them. So I did... and they were right. I'm glad I tried them. They were about a full ounce lighter and looked really cool. After a few strides across my LRS I started thinking that I may be able to get used to them. Let me clarify that I wasn't there to buy but to see what all the fuss was about.
For reference, I asked the associate to grab a pair of the Adrenaline 13s (I had come from work and was wearing dress shoes). When I slipped into the Adrenalines, before taking a step or even lacing them up, I knew that the fuss over these other shoes was not for me. The Adrenalines felt like home. Then I took a few strides in them and was sold. I've owned the last three Adrenaline models, starting with 10s, and have been impressed by the minimal yet sufficient improvements each year. The 12s felt perfect but the 13s were even better. I was not there to purchase that day but the shoes changed my mind.
Like I said, I was glad that I tried the competition... that little exercise just confirmed that Brooks Adrenalines are the right shoe for me.

I always get myself a pair of brooks when I get back into running. I finished my couch to 5K and was on a new running for fat loss program when I realized it's time to ditch the other shoe i'd been using for running and get back into a pair of Brooks. So glad I did! When I went for a run on Saturday in the new sneaks I felt a HUGE difference. So much support and I love the fact that I was able to get them in all black this time around. Great shoe, especially for the heavier folk who pronate.

My first purchase of a Brooks shoe was the original 'waffle' design, and from that time on, "I was hooked on Brooks". I never have to be concerned about a break-in period, as the shoes have always been the 'perfect' fit for me. I always purchase two pair and alternate them. The new Adenalines I purchsed in the last month are working out fine for me once again. I wear custom orthotics due to my pronation problems, and they work well with the shoe. The added stability of the shoe compliments my use of the custom orthotics.

There are not enough color options in the wide shoes.

Other than that, we love our Brooks Adrenaline GTS12. We buy them every 4-6 months.

This is my second pair of Brooks (my first pair was the GTS 11). There were two things I loved about my former shoe: Comfort and great heel cushioning. Unfortunately, the Brooks has apparently changed the heel structure of the GTS 12 and made it extremely stiff. It feels almost like I am wearing a hiking boot instead of a runner. I am an avid walker, walking every day for just over 4 miles. So it's important that the shoe I wear not cause blisters on my feet as well as cushioning the pounding on my heel. Although, the shoe is comfortable to wear (and so far no blistering, yay!) I don't care for the stiffness of the heel part of the shoe. This feels better for pronation control over the GTS 11, and fits snug around my feet which I prefer. The arch support is almost non-existent, so to compensate, I have bought a 3rd party insole to help boost that part of the shoe. These shoes are pretty pricey, and I expect much better for that price, but that being said, I would still recommend the company (not necessarily this shoe) and probably will return myself to buy another pair in the future.

Great overall performance for all seasons - track and cross country

250-300 miles is the most you can comfortably put on these shoes. The front cushion breaks down eventually but I find this acceptable even though I wish they were designed to last 500 miles. I'm on a budget
