I use this for trail running, I can't tell how good these shoes. It's a great stability and highly cushioned shoe. Only one thing about this shoe is bit stiff.

    Love this shoe!

Purchased the ASR 9 for an ultramarathon trail run last year and was completely satisfied. Unlike some others models of Brooks footwear, the ASR 10 seems to improve upon the its predecessor. Lightweight, good traction, good responsiveness, you name it. I'll probably buy a few more pairs just in case!

ASR10 is great for less technical trails

    Pros

    • Comfortable
    • Cushions Impact
    • Good Traction
    • Great 4 Groomed Trails
    • Pronation Control
    • Responsive

    Cons

    • Usable Not Great On Road

    Best Uses

    • Endurance Training
    • Trail Running

For The North Face Endurance Half Marathon in Marin Headlands of CA, I enjoyed running in the Brooks ASR 10's better than running in the same trails in my New Balance 860v3 two weeks earlier.

Both are excellent shoes. I'll wear the New Balance on the road. I barely felt the rocks in fire roads of the Headlands in the Brooks shoes and my socks were freer from dirt and pebbles afterwards.
