Additional Information

The new Adrenaline GTS 15 women's running shoe takes equal parts support, cushion and balance, and wraps them in a stylish, high-performance package. Treat yourself to the adaptive cushioning of the BioMoGo DNA midsole that responds to your run and the full-length segmented crash pad that gives you ultra-smooth heel-to-toe transition. The Progressive Diagonal Rollbar provides reassuring stability while moisture-managing materials in the upper keep you cooler and dryer when you're on the run.

The Adrenaline GTS 15 runs slightly smaller than previous models. If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing ½ size up.

DNA Midsole

What is it?

Brooks DNA is an innovative and uniquely adaptive cushioning system. By adapting to your specific weight, pace, gait and running surface, DNA offers customized cushioning and adds a spring to your step.

Traditional cushioning takes a one-size-fits-all approach, but we know that each runner is different. Brooks DNA was developed to continuously tailor the level of cushioning to your specific needs – even as they change during the run.

How does it work?

Brooks DNA is made up of a highly viscous non-Newtonian material or more simply put, a material that adapts to the specific force you apply to it. Part of the brilliance is that this compound was engineered to perform at the molecular level (picture millions of resilient 'nanosprings').

If you looked at Brooks DNA through a microscope, you'd see that it's made up of individual molecules connected in strands. These strands (which form chains) react to the amount of force placed on the foot, dispersing pressure and providing resiliency. Bottom line of this physics lesson: You get tailored cushioning that reacts to your specific weight, pace, gait, movement and running environment – "made-for-me" cushioning vs. "one size fits all."

And, as with all good technology, we’ve taken it a step further (two steps actually):

  • BioMoGo DNA is DNA technology blended with the BioMoGo midsole to provide adaptive cushioning throughout the midsole vs. just in the heel and forefoot.
  • BioMoGo DNA midsole includes an organic, non-toxic additive that biodegrades the midsole 50 times faster than traditional EVA when it comes into contact with anaerobic landfill microbes (otherwise known as active, enclosed landfills).

  • 30% more cushioning than standard midsole materials (gel or EVA)
  • Twice as much energy return for more pep in your step
  • Great performance no matter your weight or running pace
  • Smoother transition from heel to toe

Segmented Crash Pad

What is it?

The Segmented Crash Pad customizes your foot's lay-down to provide amazing cushion and smooth heel-to-toe transition throughout the run.

How does it work?

We know that a key component of maximizing your run is to provide the smoothest possible heel-to-toe transition. The Segmented Crash Pad is one technology we use to achieve this goal.

Shaped like a caterpillar, the Segmented Crash Pad is a midsole made up of independent, yet fully integrated shock absorbers. As your foot strikes the ground, the segments work together to customize your individual lay down to provide the right amount of cushion and seamless heel-to-toe transition for you – making the most of all that effort you put into each stride.

I've been a devoted fan of the Andrenaline GTS 11th edition. I haven't been happy with the successors. The 12th, 13th and 14th edition did not work for me at all. They all felt like completely different shoes. What I loved about the 11 (lightweight, excellent arch support, hugged my foot perfectly, crash pad was firm and responded well) was not there in the 12, 13 and 14s. I was delighted to find that the 15s felt similar to the 11s. I did notice that the 15s ran a bit short. I wear a size 10 but needed to bump up a 1/2 size in the new 15s. (My big toe was touching the top and side of the size 10). Unfortunately with the 1/2 size bigger there's now a bit of excess shoe that buckles when I pull the laces tight around the toe area. It didn't seem to cause any problems during my run though. Overall, they feel and ride very much like the glorious 11th edition :-) I'm very happy. I'll buy a second pair for sure!

I am a runner and triathlete that has been wearing the Adrenaline for the last 10 years (except for a short time in the Pure Cadence). The Adrenaline has always fit me so well that I never even think about the shoes on my feet even during even my longest runs. Unfortunately the GTS 15 fall short of this despite earning "best update" by Runner's World. They are short for the size and when I went a half size up the fit was all wrong. I'm extremely disappointed and will have to stock up on some 14's and wait for the next model in hopes that it goes back to the fit of previous models.

        Comments about Adrenaline GTS 15:

I was disappointed with how the 15 fit. They run about a 1/2 size smaller and a little wider. I returned these and went back to my local store for the 14.

          Comments about Adrenaline GTS 15:

I'm satisfied, so far. I bought them for work where I'm on my feet 12 hours a day cooking, so I do alot of standing in one place for long periods of time preparing food and that will be the test. But for right now I like them and they are good fit. I had a pair before this and used them for walking long distances. I still have them but the top material is wearing out, the sole is still good. I've had them 3 years.

I am not really a gym rat, I just picked the mid-point. I am a sports official and use this shoe for work and play. Inside and outside. Its the best I've found for my feet and legs and back in the last 10 years. Love it.

                Comments about Adrenaline GTS 15:

Use it for marathon training and races. Previously had the Adrenaline GTS 12, was a bigger fan of those, seemed to fit better. The GTS 15 are ok, still adjusting to them. They initially feel 1/2 a size to big, which is why I think they are taking some getting use to. Initially felt as if I was slipping out of them.

                Comments about Adrenaline GTS 15:

The Brooks Adrenaline 14's were my first introduction to the Brooks running shoe line. I really enjoyed running in them. I have wide feet but I didn't feel any width issues on a normal width shoe. I'm a heavier runner and I noticed that the tread was more than halfway gone so I decided to buy the Adrenaline 15's to throw into the rotation while I train for the half marathon. I was a little nervous about it based on the very different reviews people were giving compared to the 14's. I can confirm that the shoe does feel truer to width. In other words, it's truer to a B width which may not work out for those who have a slightly larger width without breaking them in. I ran in them for about 5 miles and they are now broken in to accommodate the width of my foot just fine. I had some minor aches and pains but that's the be expected for my feet. Otherwise, the feel is very similar to the 14's. I'd say they're a bit peppier in the forefoot. The heel to toe mechanic feels the same. I also felt the arch support was more apparent which is a nice thing for my flat feet. Overall, I'm glad I purchased them but someone at Brooks please work on better colorways. They're atrocious this year.
