Additional Information

Fresh out of charm school, the newest Adrenaline is smoother and smarter than any other. This time we amped up the velvety goodness of the Segmented Crash Pad by adding full ground contact for a crazy nice heel-to-toe transition. Brooks DNA provides adaptable cushioning so your feet will glide through every turn. Heading upstairs, new lacing design evens out lace pressure to create a snug fit, and 3D Fit Print adds a lightweight, flexible, no-stitch fit. With fresh looks and lines, this go-to shoe is ready to fly. The creme de la creme of support, cushion, and balance is the Adrenaline GTS 14.

But don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World Magazine named the Adrenaline GTS 14 "Editor’s Choice" in the Winter Shoe Guide in their December 2013 issue, saying the shoe "boasts all the trappings of a traditional stability model, but rides as smooth as ever.” The editors also praised the GTS’s cushioning, saying it "hits the sweet spot" and is "soft enough for high-mileage training but firm enough to remain stable."

I originally switched to Brooks after Asics discontinued the 2100 series and have run in the Adrenaline since the 12. Since then, I've been happy with it as a go-to shoe, but the 14 is my absolute favorite! As a VERY flat- and wide-footed runner, I appreciate the fact that the shoe works well with my Superfeet inserts, has lots of arch support in general, and has a nice, roomy toe box. This edition also seems to have a more responsive, fluffy, and airy feel to it (but that could just be my own random experience, haha). Also, love that Brooks brought some snazzy colors into the rotation -- I bought the carribean/neon yellow combo at my local running store, but am thinking of getting the pink/orange combo to throw into my rotation -- that's how much I love the 14!! Excited to continue my rehab and training in the Adrenaline and looking forward to (hopefully) running a half this year. Thanks for helping me run happy, Brooks! :)

I was very excited to get a new pair of Adrenalines (which is all I wear), but I have to have the D width. Disappointed I'm only limited to a pink shoe (not all females want to wear pink), but I can deal with that. What I couldn't get over is how narrow the D width was. Felt like my feet were being squeezed. Compared with the GTS 13s I had on, it was like a completely different shoe. Very hard under my foot & felt stiff. Walked out without any shoes because they would have to order the 2E to see if that would work. Tried on the mens size, but still the same thing. Wish I had loaded up on the GTS 13s...and the 11s. I don't know what you did to the GTS 14, but it doesn't fit me well.

Bring back the old lace eyelets!

By WendyM

from Amsterdam, The Netherlands

About Me Casual/ Recreational

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Durable
  • Lightweight
  • Responsive

Cons

  • No Lace Eyelets

Best Uses

I've been running in the Adrenaline since the GTS 9 and I have always been satisfied with each new pair (size always stays the same!), however, with the GTS 14 I was disappointed to discover that they replaced the traditional lace eyelets (ie. holes) with a sort of weaved fabric where the lace runs through. Brooks couldn't be bothered to punch lace holes in the shoe?! The last model had three eyelets with a bit of elastic flexibility, which I really liked. It is very difficult to lace the shoes and I guess my worry is that this fabric will rip eventually, leaving you to replace a pair of shoes because they can't be properly laced anymore.

All in all, I'd still recommend this shoe and I'll still wear it, but I'd like to see Brooks change this in the next model.

I own a business and stand all day. Have problems with the ball of the foot. Extreme pain. This shoe keeps my foot from hurting. I did find the first pair at a retail store and then ordered a back-up pair for later. The only negative is that when these wear out (last pair of similar ones lasted 2 years) the shoe usually is no longer produced and then I have to try several pairs before I find one that works again.

I am more than a casual or recreational user but I am by no means a gym rat or avid athlete. I am working to get and stay fit and healthy and usually walk the treadmill at least 4-5 times per week. These shoes are so light and fit so well AND they make me feel good about myself!

This is my second pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS. I had used my last pair exclusively at the gym, mostly on elliptical and crossramp. I have narrow feet, but I love to spread my toes. I also found that I have pronation issues when I jog. I have ALWAYS had blisters and sore feet breaking in new shoes before finding Brooks. I have never had that problem since I started wearing these! The fit is perfect for me, and since my feet are so comfortable, I have ever started using them for jogging. I hope they sell these shoes forever because they have helped me on my way to becoming a runner!

        Really wanted to love these

I really wanted to love these. Women sneakers in this teal/yellow is such an awesome color combo! So I LOVE my GTS 12's and ignored the bad reviews on these. Ordered my usual size 9. I got these and tried running a mile and a half.. no problem there. They felt really light and my time was actually faster than usual.

However, when I ran my usual 4-6 miles my legs were in pain instantly after starting my run. I run in central park so it's pretty smooth but I was dreading my run the entire time. I felt the ground underneath, where, with the older models, I felt like I was running on clouds. I honestly couldn't wait to be done to take them off.

Brooks definitely changed the shoe enough where it's just not the same. So I ordered 3 pairs of the GTS 13's so I have shoes until they go back to the old style.

I really wanted to love these but they felt really wide in the toe box, the mesh top made me feel like they were loose and overall just no support. Brooks, if you can make these colors in the GTS 12 and 13 style then you will have the BEST shoe ever!! Please go back to the old version.
