I used these gloves for the first time this morning on a run when it was 30 degrees. They are light weight and comfortable. I run while it's dark and I really like that they are reflective and have a light. The gloves have a light weight wind shield which seemed very effective for the chilly temps, At times, it was challenging to keep the shield over my fingers if I wanted to move my fingers around. All in all a good purchase.

I was really impressed with these when I found them in my local REI store. Loved the idea of a lightweight glove with stowable windproof shell. However, in practice I've been a little disappointed. The issue is that (even with shell deployed) they're surprisingly bad at keeping my fingers warm. I live in the mountains and my runs are frigid for at least Dec through Feb. I end up running with gloves on for ~100 days per year, so believe me, I've experimented with a ton of running gloves. I don't really understand why these are so chilly. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the fabric that allows these to be used with smart-phone touchscreens is highly conductive to heat as well as electricity.

The only other thing to note is that they run a little larger than typical: I normally buy a large (size 9) glove, and found that a medium worked better in these.

      Comments about Adapt Glove II:

I got thes in midnight/brite pink. The pink was much lighter than it looked online (I would have preferred a darker pink) and the mitten part is floppy (they don't cinch down/hug the hand the way I hoped they would), so I usually keep the very thin mitten layer tucked into their pockets (wearing them just as gloves). As gloves they are GREAT and have the added bonus of a tiny flashlight (which I've never used but can see where it'd come in handy while running in dark, winter months). Gloves are toasty, much warmer than lighter gloves would be, and reflective strips are ideal.

      Terrible quality gloves

          Comments about Adapt Glove II:

I purchased these after losing one of my Adapt I gloves and was appalled at how much this second model had declined in quality compared to the original. The gloves are made out of very cheap material that did not keep my hands warm during the one day that I wore them. In addition, the flap that is supposed to cover your fingers to allow the gloves to turn into mittens was 1 1/2-inches larger than the fingers of the gloves, so it kept falling off. It was impossible for the thumb flap to stay on. I was really disappointed in these given how much I loved the original version of these gloves and have a feeling that Brooks chose cheaper production costs over glove quality. I would not recommend these to anyone.

            Comments about Adapt Glove II:

I wasn't paying attention to gender/sizing and purchased medium. These are either unisex or men's and were too big. But they felt so comfortable and I really needed replacement for my last pair of running gloves that I ordered again in small (gave the medium to my husband). These are really good cold weather running or cycling gloves. Very good at cutting the wind, but still light enough not to be bulky. The mitten option is my favorite. Had it on my last pair of gloves and prefer it to regular gloves.

            Comments about Adapt Glove II:

Literally the first run the product began to come unstitched. I have not washed the product. I wear Brooks items, including shoes, almost exclusively. I have only had one other item, the Ravenna 6, that I felt was sub-standard. I will definitely be returning this item.
