Almost perfect. I like the idea and definitely works well on colder days. When I start out I need warmer gloves and these do keep your hands really warm. The convertible top works well most of the time, my one wish is that the fingerless portion went further down my fingers. If they did that I think they would be perfect. That said these are the gloves I use most of the winter, just not the best for early fall or spring.

I am a mitten fan and a bigger convertible mitten fan, which are sometimes hard to find. So I was excited to see these offered by Brooks. I am disappointed that they are a little too big for my hands though. I have wore them a few time running errands and driving but found they were just annoying because they were too big. I have not tried them running yet. I imagine when I am just out running it won't bother me so much. And I will enjoy being able to access my iphone at the beginning and end of the run.

I wish they made it in XS, but it does its job during winter runs.
I love the magnet snaps.

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
I have always had a problem keeping my fingers warm in the midwest winters. This mitten solves my problems. The best example was a 15m run in 12F temos with a wind chill of 0F. My hands stayed warm the entire times. I did not need to wear two pair of gloves like I've done in previous winters.

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
Have worn these running for about three years and love them. BTW they are machine washable. I gave a pair this Christmas to a friend and she loved them so much she said she'd marry me. I didn't take her up on it, but her big complaint with fold over mittens is that the buttons eventually fall off leaving the mitten flapping in the breeze. These have internal magnets and no buttons - hence the marriage proposal.

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
I bought my first pair about 10 years ago and continue to use them. I only bought them because I do not know what I would do without them when I run in the winter. LOVE!

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
This mitten replaces an older Brooks fleece mitten. In recent products, the magnets intended to hold the gloves/mittens together (as well as hold the mitten portion back, on this item) have weakened. My only criticism is that the magnets no longer serve their purpose because they are not strong enought to consistently hold to one another.
Otherwise, this convertible mitten is warm and cozy, true to the Wanganui line. The fleece is lightweight and soft and is not overly cumbersome, as many mittens can be.
I will often select these mittens for days below 25-30 degrees and shorter-medium range runs (anything that does not take much more than an hour). The convenience is in the versatility because if one's hands begin to warm overmuch, one can simply pull of the mitten portion to regulate temperature.

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
These mittens will keep your hands nice and warm but they seem to be made more for men's hand than women's. My little pinky doesn't even make it out of the cloves. I love the fact that if your hands get too warm you can take the top of.

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
These gloves have no trouble keeping my hands warm. I usually end up peeling back the mitten portion before my run is half over. I wish they offered in XS. I got the S/M and my pinky hardly clears the end of the glove. The magnents are a fantastic idea. Could have been just a bit stronger. The mitten likes to flap free when hit with gusts of wind. Great design and wear them all the time for running.

Comments about Wanganui Cabrio Mitten:
I run in weather as cold as in the teens. These mittens are perfect for that temperature. When my hands get hot then I can just open them up!
