Wow. These are my new favorite socks. I have wide feet, and socks that are big enough to wrap around tend to either fall down to my heel or are way too long. These stay snug around my foot, and the tab stays perfectly above the heel of my size 11.5 Launch (XL socks)(remember, wide feet). These are my new perfect sock - they are as low as possible with the tab still protecting my achilles from the cuff on the back of the shoe. Brilliant.
