I purchased this hoodie after returning the older version of the same jacket. It has great improvements from the original Utopia hoodie. The fit is more true-to-size, the hood is larger, and the zipper has an anti-chafe protector "garage." Brooks must really listen to customers' critiques because they improved almost every flaw of the old version. I love this jacket and can't wait to wear it to and from my workouts and during colder weather runs. The quality and features are great.

The jacket seems very warm, but I ordered it on sale and expected it to be fully heathered (I got the purple). Instead, it has solid insets on the side and around the hood, at sort of ear-level. I'll keep it because it's what I need for an upcoming trip, but it's not NEARLY as pretty as the plain heather that's shown in the photo!

The jacket seems very warm, but I ordered it on sale and expected it to be fully heathered (I got the purple). Instead, it has solid insets on the side and around the hood, at sort of ear-level. I'll keep it because it's what I need for an upcoming trip, but it's not NEARLY as pretty as the plain heather that's shown in the photo!

This hoodie is great! It's perfect for a run on cold days layered, with just a tshirt under for medium cold or as a throw over after or before a run. The bright color keeps me visible when running down city streets. The fit is great. It's fitted without being too clingy so you can still layer underneath. I would recommend this to anyone.

I bought this for cold weather outdoor running. I wore it on my 8 miler over the weekend and it was super comfy and kept me warm in the below 40 degree weather.
The fabric is super soft and just comfy all around.. Great pockets to fit GU or your phone.

It has been the best thing I have ever got. I live in Southwesten Pa and it has been 20 degrees out with a wind chill of 5. I wear this jacket out running with a cold gear top and most of the time I end up being to warm. I love the hood with ponytail hole. I have worn it not running and it is very stylish. I love this jacket!!!

but creating this kind of euphoria can't be healthy or sustainable. I run up in the frozen tundra and usually take a winter running hiatus. Not just on Sundays when the packers play, but because it was so darn cold. The Utopia Thermal Hoodie II is warm enough for me to run in a stiff wind sub-30 degrees (and colder). I ran with it on for a Valentine's Day 5K and it kept me toasty on top through the race (it was 10degrees at the starting line). I could hear runners behind me complimenting my jacket (ponytail hole in the hood!). The pockets are deep and in a great spot angled a little more towards the front (not so far on your side that you have to twist to get something out).

Got this to run my first race, it was 30 degrees F and I was comfortable with just a tee shirt under it. I also ran in 16 degree F weather with two light layers under it and was comforable. I like the features, like the place to put my phone and the headphone wires inside the jacket. I like the pony tail hole in the hood too, but my husband says it looks funny :). Very comfortable and warm!

I love everything about this jacket - the arm length/thumb hole position, the hood with ponytail exit, reflective detailing, and the look/fit. I've worn it a few times running in the mid-20's and lower and stayed warm with a base layer underneath. The first time I wore it the temp was in the low teens and it kept me very warm.
