I bought these pants specifically for cold weather running. I have not been disappointed so far! They have taken me through 30 degree temps with no complaints. My one tiny gripe (and why I only gave 4 stars), is that the waistband is cut a bit too low. My "muffin top" hangs over the front and tends to be exposed to the wind! But it is easily remedied with a long thermal short and zip up hoodie. I love these pants, they are worth every penny!

The pants fit nice, but the bottom of the pant leg is way too wide. It's a bell bottom, or flared. Maybe good for downhill skiing over big bulky boots, but way too flared to run in. Might cause someone to trip! What were they thinking? I guess they would work as yoga pants, or if someone is into flared pant legs.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
I bought these pants for running, and loved them so much I started wearing them around the house. Now they are some of my favorite pants, not just running pants. I bought a second pair too, and have given them as gifts. I think they look stylish and I love the soft lining.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
This is my second pair of these pants, and I'm honestly thinking about getting another pair. They are really comfortable. I ran in 20 degree weather 2 weeks ago and my legs stayed warm. I absolutely love them. I have to agree with one of the reviews below that my muffin top does show more in these pants, but I consider that motivation to make it disappear before the winter ends. I might buy another pair!

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
These pants feel great and are really warm. I wore these in 25 degree weather and felt great. The next time I ran, in similar temperatures, I wore another pair of tights and could really feel the difference between the two. I'm thinking of buying more.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
I teach PE and have been living in these pants all winter. I wear them to work a few times a week, and slip them on over capris to go to and from the gym or yoga studio. They are very easy to move in, comfortable, warm, and flattering with a soft fleece lining, but they don't look bulky at all. I love the detail in the back. It makes a basic black pant stylish and different. These pants feel heavier than I like for running or yoga, so I can't comment on how they do with those activities. I would love to see them in more colors and with a coordinating jacket.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
They're nice, but they let in the cold through the bottom of the pants. They're good in 30-40 degree weather, but for anything colder, stick with tights.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
I returned these because they weren't what I thought they would be. I was looking for heavier tights to wear in cold weather running, but these had a weird fit (cut too low) and flared at the ankle. They also seemed long. I love Brooks apparel, so I was disappointed that these didn't work.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
Wore them running in 35 degree temps and didn't enjoy the wide leg below the knee. They did keep the rest of my legs warm and eventually was thankful for the wider leg 6 miles into the run. Still prefer to run in the Utopia Thermal for cold days (with the zippered leg). Wore them casually on a snow day and LOVED lounging and running errands in them. Very comfortable for exercise or casual wear. Bought them on-sale. I probably wouldn't have tried them without the sale. Glad I gave them a shot.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
I bought these for a few uses. As a personal trainer I get wear workout pants daily. One of the places I work is always cold. So I bought these to stay warm at work. They do the job. I also thought I would use them for under my ski pants for downhill skiing. I will try them this weekend. I think the flared leg might get to be a little much all crunched up in my ski boot. I really like the splash of color on the back. My only complaint it that I don't think they are a flattering fit. I think they make my quads and hips look bigger than they are.

Comments about Utopia Thermal Cozy Pant:
These are great! Very flattering fit, they hug where they need to, but aren't skin tight or too revealing. I'm 5'6 and 131lbs, curvy hips, and a medium fit me great. So far I have gone running in them in roughly 30 degree weather (7 miles each time) and they have kept me warm the entire run. They are cozy.
