These shorts are perfect! They are a little short, and being relatively new to running and used to basketball shorts, they took some getting used to, but once you wear them for your first race or long run you wont go back.
They are slightly stretchy, which helps them move with you. They are light, very breathable, yet very durable.
They are my preferred shorts for all my races. I saw someone else gave a review that said the elastic is too tight....no its not. I've already bought a second pair.

They are great for working out and short runs. However, I was running a 50 mile trail race recently and realized one of the two gels I had left for the last 15 miles of the race had fallen out. There is a thin piece of vel-cro that keeps the pocket closed with pretty significant gaps on either side. Its not that they are too small, I'm not expecting to carry a phone or something, but I would not keep keys, gels, or money in the pockets, and I cant see what else they would be useful for.

Good for long runs; good for races. One gel comfortably fits in each pocket. No restriction of movement. Pretty short - I like to wear compression shorts under.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
I'm 6'2, 190 and find these shorts fit well. Recently converted to these from 7" inseams and am not too self conscious. Very comfortable and lightweight. Bought this third pair after wearing this style for a few weeks. The sale price is also helpful.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
Was looking for shorts with a liner that weren't silly expensive.I started wearing regular shorts with cotton underwear, then found some hind shorts with a boxer-brief style liner, which were okay but didnt like the compression feeling on my thighs. Then I saw these on sale and ordered a couple pair. They're perfect. The liner doesn't cut into your upped thigh and their not at all restrictive while providing support. I checked off durable even though I've only worn them twice. After the first run, got back to the car, pulled my key out of the hip pocket and my keyring caught on the fabric. Thought for sure there would be a tear, but I couldn't even tell where it for caught. Shorts were cool and light to run in. I plan on grabbing a few more of the

Love the pockets! Usually you have to go with a longer short to get the pockets, so I love that these are a good length with pockets!

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
The holster pockets (one on each hip) are just big enough to hold gel packets. But as several have noted, they don't hold up. The little velcro strips don't hold the pocket shut after a couple of washings. I lost two of 'em before I realized the problem. I make sure only to wear these on short runs.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
I bought the Sherpa III's to start training for 3k/5k races. I have no regrets, and these are excellent running shorts to start your training and running schedule in. The material quality and build quality is better than some other brands that I was comparing with in person. After 2-3 months of training and losing well over 20 lbs off my weight, I was thinking on purchasing the same exact shorts, but in a smaller size... I then discovered that the smaller / more appropriate size was restricting my leg movement. Thankfully I discovered the Infiniti III's (same great material as the Sherpa III's) , and they seemed like the exact same shorts but with more freedom of movement for my competitive spirit. Bottom line: The Sherpa III's are excellent until you start craving to have more freedom of movement, and then it may be a better idea in going with shorter / split type shorts.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
I have always been a 7" inseam runner, but decided to try these. They are definitely not too short. Very comfortable and true to size- I am 6'2", 190 lbs and they are perfect. I do not typically carry things, so the pocket issues others have written about are not an issue.
