These shorts are perfect! They are a little short, and being relatively new to running and used to basketball shorts, they took some getting used to, but once you wear them for your first race or long run you wont go back.
They are slightly stretchy, which helps them move with you. They are light, very breathable, yet very durable.
They are my preferred shorts for all my races. I saw someone else gave a review that said the elastic is too tight....no its not. I've already bought a second pair.

They are great for working out and short runs. However, I was running a 50 mile trail race recently and realized one of the two gels I had left for the last 15 miles of the race had fallen out. There is a thin piece of vel-cro that keeps the pocket closed with pretty significant gaps on either side. Its not that they are too small, I'm not expecting to carry a phone or something, but I would not keep keys, gels, or money in the pockets, and I cant see what else they would be useful for.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
Ran my first half marathon in these shorts not knowing what to expect. They stayed comfortable, wick and dry very well....no issues with chaffing which I was concerned about. The only issue I had was that when I went for my gel, it was gone, the velcro pocket wasn't enough to keep it there. That aside, these are probably the best shorts in terms of comfort that Iv'e run in. Would have given 5 stars if I had my gel during the race.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
Great fit, good performance. Today was my first day to wear sherpa shorts during the Carytown 10K. It was humid and misting the entire race. The clothes kept me cool and fit well even when wet. I did have an issue at the start. I put my house key in the velcro pocket, just after the start I happen to hear a cling, a sound of metal hitting asphault. I thought about it for a second and checked my shorts for my key...it was not there. The sound was my house key, I pulled out of the race and went back to look for my key. I was able to find it but getting to it was difficult. Once I got it, I carried the remainder of the race. I would suggest that the velcro span the length of the pocket to prevent items from falling out.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
I love these shorts. They are very comfortable. I use them for mostly running. They are not too short to just wear around the house or out in public for a nice walk. They do have side pockets for gels, ID or whatever else you want to slide in there.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
These shorts are great for running and working out. I thought they would be too short, but after reading the reviews, decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. They fit great, and I use them for runs of all distances, as well as when I am doing Crossfit / SealFit workouts.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
Product is used for running, yoga, gym. Best feature is boxer brief liner.
Keys bounce out of rear pocket, so I'm back to using a stainless steel diaper pin.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
Bought these shorts because of the pockets. They are supposed to be able to hold gel packs, keys, etc. Both fell our in the first 4 miles. Lost the keys. A kind runner handed me back the gel. I expected more from Brooks. These shorts are not functional. I don't know who designed them but they failed. They probably thought they were cute. Serious runners don't need cute.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
I run about 35 miles a week almost exclusively in these shorts. I own multiple pairs now. The side pockets fit a pack of Clif Shot Blocs just about perfect if you fold them like a horseshoe. The inside pocket is perfect for my car alarm key fob. I think they tend to run a bit on the small side so I buy them one size larger although I do still wear the pair that I originally bought based on Brooks sizing. The only major complaint that I have is the price, but I'm not picky so I just buy the colors that are on sale.

Liner does not ride up. Really lightweight material that dries quickly and has a nice drape, so they look really good.

Comments about Sherpa Short III:
I definitely enjoy these shorts. I have bought two pairs and prolly will get a third. I use them to run in and when I coach my xc team. I feel they are long enough to be respectable yet they allow full range of motion as I run around coaching.
