A middle child to neutral and support, the Ravenna 4 is leading the charge for in-between feet. This season, this shoe is bringing a little more cushion, a bit more flex, and a whole lot of swagger with sleek design lines and fast colors. We've also honed in on midfoot capture and engineered a saddle that envelops the foot with an adjustable band. Not too Neutral and not too Support, the Ravenna 4 is juuuust right. Don’t take our word for it: Runner’s World® named the Ravenna 4 its "Best Buy" in the Spring Shoe Guide in the March 2013 issue. Their bottom line? "For the price, it’s awfully hard to beat this balance of features and ride."

I had to pair of the Ravenna 3's and I was a little concerned that they had been updated to the 4. I loved the green/yellow design and even my teenage sons thought they looked cool. One commented that I wasn't fast enough for these shoes (maybe true) but I endured it and took them out. I've had them on both treadmill and road conditions and can say they are better than the 3's were. I have less stress in my arches than before. Don't hurry with the 4's...OK?

Ran through a few pairs of Ravenna 3, Although the main difference is in the upper....the forefoot feels a bit more cushioned to me. I had a problem with the dynamic wrap on my right foot, so I sent them back and I can say the new pair is perfect. 7 miles out of the box with a great feel from the start.

Love these shoes. Very comfortable and responsive with good impact protection. I'd like to see them getting leaner with each new model as I try to work towards more minimal shoes. (but then they have the pure connect for that!) Overall a great feeling shoe.

I'm obsessed with this shoe. I had the Ravenna 3, and saw reviews that the Ravenna 4 had a bunch of improvements. Honestly, these definitely step it up to the next level - improvements I wasn't even really aware I had desperately needed to take my distance training to a new level. Also, hallelujah for some fun colors in a stability shoe!
My personal observation is that these feel just a smidgen wider than the Ravenna 3 - any more width, and I'll need to write a strongly worded letter to Brooks begging for a 2A version of this shoe.

I love this version and love the color. I know some people do not like the color but I like the fact that they are unique. I have owned every model of Ravenna's and felt last years model felt a little heavy. These fit perfectly. I love them. I ran 7 miles out of the box with no issues.

I've been running in Ravennas since for about 3 years (with one side trip in a pair of Asics...big mistake). I like the 4 over the 3, more bounce, but the same comfort. They run great and the fit is nice and snug without being cramped. I know that some don't like the colours on the 4, but I won't lie, the brighter (and yes, more obnoxious) green is a nice switch from the norm. I'll stay with these shoes for the foreseeable future!!

Ravenna 4 is better than the Ravenna 3's but then again I ran in them once and threw them in the back of the closet. These shoes are still not as good as the 2's. Still a little too "high" feeling, the 2's seem to envelope over the top of your foot and you feel more secure. These are also more narrow in the toe box, feel a little unstable, and have given me some outside toe issues. I like the cushion in the fore foot and these are definitely an improvement from the 3's. Please just remake the Ravenna 2.

These are my running shoes. I stay with Brooks because they work for me. They are hard to find in my size and the local dealers are not helpful if they do not have the size you need. I also find there is not much variety in color, but that is ok. I am looking for durability and comfort because I tend to put a lot of miles on a shoe. The on-line ordering works the best if you are just trying the get the newest model. The online ordering is fast and efficient. I would like to hear about re-cycling these shoes if possible. Mine still have life, just not enough life to run in.

I ran the Ravenna and Ravenna II almost exclusively for a few years never having any major injuries or mechanical problems. I have a bit of an odd running form as I am a high arched, mid foot striker who lands on the outside of my feet so needless to say finding the right shoe can be a challenge. For some odd reason I deviated to another brand and style at the recommendations of a local retailer but when I found myself on another trip to Afghanistan (with less than stellar road conditions on/around the Air Field) I soon found many minor issues flaring up and ordered the Ravenna 4 as soon as they were released. The difference was remarkable; the first run was a fast 10K I followed up with my distance day and soon found the problems subsiding. I have had these shoes for about 3 weeks and even in the less than stellar road conditions they have been remarkable. They feel much lighter than they actually are and provide excellent cushioning with what I would describe as good "spring" or responsiveness. They are not stiff at all out of the box and almost race/road ready due to this feature. All around they are a great shoe with a lot of diversity that can be used for logging long miles or working on speed and everything between. The only downside is that they are a bit slick on wet conditions, but still a 5 star product!

Perhaps it was not the best choice, but my first run in the Ravenna 4 was a 23-miler. Most shoes do not hold up well until properly broken, but this item seems to wear well from the very first mile. One of the trademark qualities of the Ravenna series is their responsiveness and propellant qualities. This shoe will feel much like the Ravenna 2 did off the ground but with a touch more cushion on impact. The tongue of the shoe is fuller and a bit thicker than past models, which I do not intensely enjoy, but most runner will not notice this difference.
