I have worn the Ravennas since the originals. I always liked how responsive they seemed. I feel quick and light on my feet whenever I run in them. I don't really have an opinion on the beefed up crash pad since I am more of a midfoot striker, but the shoe does have good overall cushioning. Although they are best suited for dry weather I have taken these out for many rainy day runs and they hold up fine. Very durable shoe, usually I switch them out at about 500 miles, but I have gone as much as 850 miles on a single pair with no problems. Great shoe for the recreational runner and competitive runner alike!

I run about 30 to 40 miles per week, I usually train in two pairs of shoes alternating them between runs. I have owned the Ravenna 2's and found them to be a great shoe. I loved every minute in them. I am a taller guy 6'2" and they made me feel lighter and more in control. They had a very snug fit that was still comfortable, they wrapped your foot and with the toe up design gave you a longer stride, without feeling too tight or unstable. Here are the differences with the new Ravenna 3, and listen close, because I know of what I speak. 1. The toe box is bigger, if you liked the snug feel all over your foot, you will not like this shoe. It will feel loose in the front. 2. The mid foot or saddle control is totally different and while it does the same thing, I kept over tightening it trying to get the toe box more snug. 3. On longer runs of say 10 miles plus, the shoes starts to feel a bit rubbery almost like there is a bit too much cushion and the heat makes it react in a weird way. 4. The flatter design of the bottom of the shoe makes you feel slower if you are not a professional runner with a perfect stride. One of my favorite parts of the Ravenna 2 was the way the toe went up improving and lengthening my stride. I just fest fast. I am not a small person, but the shoe make me feel nimble. I do not get this at all with this shoe. It's much more like the Trance with a little additional guidance. It has lost it's identity in the 3. Mine are going back and I am buying two more pairs of the Ravenna 2's for [$] per from the clearance section of brooks.

Seems to be a good shoe - just getting broke in. Changing over from using Nike Structure Triax and Air Max Moto's over the past 15 years. Time will tell whether or not they hold up and provide necessary support. The width is a tad snug. The size is correct but I almost wish I would have gone with an E width instead of the standard D and I've never considered the need for a wide size in my life. Hoping they will loosen up a bit yet.

after 3 runs and 10 miles the tab pulled out over the middle of the tongue. No easy exchange at Brooks! Lauren, Kendall and Alex are great to work with you but Brooks policies hinder anything being replaced efficiently or in a timely manner without you being inconvenienced in the return process.

I'm a true 11 1/2 shoe size. These shoes are true to fit and deliver as promised. I love them. I only bought two pairs and am ready to get two more. I log over 50 miles a week and these shoes provide so much more support than the Ghost 4 I wore before. I loved my Ghost series but these are better for the longer runs. I'm confident this year will be my first 3:30 marathon.

Bought two pairs to rotate since I run so much. I used the Ghost 4 before but after a running analysis at a Brooks booth, I switched to the Ravenna 3. I've run in them only 5 times so far but the difference is quite noticable. Already bested my 8 mile speed time by over 3 minutes.

I run 5k-half marathons. This shoe has great fit and feel, for 5ks i wish it was a tad lighter but that isn't really an issue. Great shoe. Main concern is durability and wear. I have been running in this and the Glycerine line and wear these out around 200 miles on both styles. This shoe i'm going to push out to 250 miles and then retire. I wish they were more durable but a great shoe nonetheless!

I've had a sprained ankle from playing backetball, before I got the shoes and since I've got them I've been walking and they feel great for walking. Great stability for the sprain. Feel good. Hope to start jogging soon. would maybe have more stars but haven't been able to really use them yet.
